Almost a week since we upgraded to a king size bed, and I am starting to forget about the astronomical cost of the thing.

Considerably more comfortable than our previous bed. I think I am sleeping better, although my up and down work roster makes it hard to tell.

More research needed.
we have had a king size for about 30 years! And two queen sized doonas. It is not that we don't love each other, but there is love and then there is sleep. A king sized bed and rolled up in your own doona makes for perfection :)

I was woken this morning at the MNL transit 'hotel' by an airport transit desk staff member who had come looking for me to check me in for my next flight. She came back with my BPs 20 minutes later.

TPR has got nothing on this place for service! ;)

Manado Indonesia lounge staff (rear security entrance from street) will wait at check in counters with your luggage and another staff member will take you down to check in when its your turn.

Work gave us a $300 Red Balloon voucher as a bonus gift a few years back. I would prefer the cash but they must have got a huge discount. Didn't use it and before it expired last year created a Red Balloon account and loaded the $300 and you get a further 12 months to use it.

Not a single email from Red Balloon to say that $300 credit is expiring today. I remembered a month or so again that it was expiring but was a bit slow in booking. Last night I booked a 2 night getaway in the Whitsundays thinking I have 12 months to use the experience as per description of experience. Apparently I have until today to take the experience. I have sent them email and waiting for response.

I'm not expecting much from a company who looks to profit from people who don't redeem their vouchers on time.

Gets back to the question I always ask - why do gift vouchers have an expiry date. Well, obviously the business profits from that but one day us Customers will fight back to stop it.

Be interesting to see the peanut gallery's reaction to Andrew Bolt getting assaulted at the book launch...

is this what you mean ;)

The ACCC should sort this out. Gift vouchers should not have an expiry date. And it should be always redeemable for cash at face value.

Gift vouchers are never a good idea. I prefer to just give cash. Why lock yourself into one company?.

Oh damn.Booked to go to Kangaroo Island in September paying Rex absurdly high fares and now QF announce they will be starting KI services in December from ADL and MEL.

You can plan your holiday all you like but that doesn't stop you from getting sick.

Had a few good days already and not much planned for the next few days so I hope I can recover.

Gift vouchers should never expire. Totally wrong that companies budget for and rely on breakage.

It's an excellent business rip off - err - model. Surprised ACC or choice has never bothered doing anything.

Um, I didn't. I am currently enjoying a glass of bubbles in KUL.

What sort of a lounge will they have? :D

We're going to drive from Adelaide airport and catch ferry over. No real cost saving but we've not been to SA before.
