The MH lounge in the main terminal at KUL is closed, so I have to slum it in the F lounge in the satellite terminal. ;) Copped a fair bit of turbulence on the way down from HKG.

Now if they could do that for a garage door ;)
I believe they have. Read or heard about it recently & they said it would let you check if you had put the door down when you left & also enable you to see & let tradies in while you were away-will try & find the info

In Asia it's the sick people who wear the masks. ;)

In China they wear them not with sickness in mind - well they kinda do - they wear them to stop air being forced down their throat and into their stomachs - forcing them to digest and pass wind - which is not considered to be good for ones health.

Wind is for lungs and not stomachs - so masks over nose and mouth protect from any gusts of wind from being forced into the stomach.

I reckon wind comes from food being broken down in the digestive process, and not from, well, wind! What a curious notion.

Also why they will complain that it is too hot/cold - but not turn on AC to fix that - because it will blow air that might be forced down into their stomachs. Yes they use AC - but only once things turn to be the most unbearable as seasons change.

But then still air is not health and needs some flow in it - so will keep windows open to allow air to flow - even with heat/cool blasting - and why you get them boarding flights and opening exit doors and windows - as not to is bad for their health.

I don't make the rules - I just know them well.

It is a lovely bright morning in HND. And because it is after 6* I just had to try the auto beer dispenser.

*When you are travelling, am or pm doesn't matter.

Missed you by that much, I landed at HND about 1430.

My travel day today was:
Driven from Niseko to Kutchan, regular train to Otauru, airport express to New Chitose (CTS), flew to HND, monorail to Hamamatsucho, Yamonate line train to Tokyo, Shinkansen to Kyoto.

Got to love the JR Pass, it covered all of the rail travel including the monorail.

The JAL Diamond lounge at CTS was very nice and the private entrance via the fast track security lane was very quick.

yes same unit can do that too.

essentially the triggering signal from GSM unit activates a relay whether a gate or garage door.
Garage doors operate via a trigerring signal from a remote - this activates a relay which starts the garage door motor

GSM trigger Unit is the size of a wallet, powered by a 12v DC switch mode power supply which is easy to get from say Jaycar.) All you have to find is the relay which operates the garage door motoer

Safe to say, I have cold. Chesty cough, blocked nose and sore throat. I hate air con and confined spaces with other people. Working from home today as I hate people that go to the office sick.

Duro Tuss Chesty cough lozenges are great, BTW. Brought me cough and throat relief very quickly.

A speech made 77 years ago-UK time-
We shall go on to the end, we shall fight in France, we shall fight on the seas and oceans, we shall fight with growing confidence and growing strength in the air, we shall defend our Island, whatever the cost may be, we shall fight on the beaches, we shall fight on the landing grounds, we shall fight in the fields and in the streets, we shall fight in the hills; we shall never surrender, and even if, which I do not for a moment believe, this Island or a large part of it were subjugated and starving, then our Empire beyond the seas, armed and guarded by the British Fleet, would carry on the struggle, until, in God’s good time, the New World, with all its power and might, steps forth to the rescue and the liberation of the old.

Back when leaders inspired you.

Even the Queen Mum kicked butt when the nation need leaders, "The children will not leave unless I do. I shall not leave unless their father does, and the King will not leave the country in any circumstances whatsoever".

Almost a week since we upgraded to a king size bed, and I am starting to forget about the astronomical cost of the thing.

Considerably more comfortable than our previous bed. I think I am sleeping better, although my up and down work roster makes it hard to tell.

More research needed.

Its hard to go back to a smaller bed so if youre on holidays and the hotel offers a queen size, I end up booking twin bed rooms.

I also found having a good mattress topper adds to the comfort, I went with a feather one from a WA company when we bought our current bed 2 years ago, extra comfy.

We are about to upgrade to a king size bed too ! I have been looking at EOFY sales and I have narrowed it down to a couple - but the front runner is Myers and an AH Beard bed. We already have the top of the range AH Beard queen bed and we have been happy with that, but that extra 6" each side will make a difference

I also bought a super-king doona but finding quilt cover sets I like in that size can be problematic but the extra size as a bed cover is nice.

Hopefully the AHBeard bed will be similar to the one you have. We bought quite an expensive bed a couple of years back (trying to remember brand) and it is just so hot - the pillow top must be made of latex as it seems to get hotter as the night goes on. Our last bed was pillow top and it was fine. We are seriously considering changing the bed.

When I was researching our last bed, I remember reading quite a few reviews about one particular bed/brand being very hot to sleep in.

I remember looking for beds and one store was "lie on this bed to compare", it was a $10+K bed. I refused to and she was quite put out by me saying I wont even sit on it. Its like test driving a [insert expensive car] but having no intention to buy it - why bother. Very happy with what we got and Im still flipping it every month, apparently only need to turn it every six months but its no big deal.

Love our king size bed. Definitely need it with a 3 year old rolling around in the middle!
