$59 bucks a pop? No flamingos?

Use to have flamingos It's like a competition in how tacky we can make our yard.

I have a family of 3 flamingos who look out from btw the Agapanthos strappy leaves. They hibernate in the garage in winter so that they don't crack up with the freeze and thaw CBR weather.

Do you light up your flamingos with solar spot lights? Hubby currently liking and using green lights.

Truffle season is here!

Picked up a 50gm piece today. Will pop it in a jar with some eggs while it's being used up.

Just under $90.

Pure luxury but will be my only buy of the season. Going to use some of it to make truffle butter!

Go for it! We bought some 120gm in Canberra markets Fyshwick last season. Truffles eggs for a week then scrambled, then shaved onto freshly made tagliatelle with butter and parmigiano, followed by a nice roast chicken with truffle stuffed under skin. Yummo!

Truffle eggs last week - scrambled with smoked salmon for lunch - yum.
No local truffle butter yet at the markets but usually buy several lots over the season - add to all sorts of things.
The Press Club does a lovely truffle dinner as well; must book.:)

Truffles and fresh chestnuts are my winter yummy foods :)

Yum.

Just avoid "truffle oil". It's just 2,4-dithiapentane. Terrible stuff. One can smell it on entry if one enters a restaurant that uses it.

Given that almost every kiwi had written them off, it's good see that the Lions didn't lose the third test, wonder what the excuses will be now?

Ducks for cover.... :)

Pepe Saya used to do one but stopped :( - they did mention they could make some if I supplied the truffle.
