I disagree. Some businesses need to remember who is keeping them in business and perform better. Refunds, once acknowledged, should be instantaneous.

But they cant be instantaneous. You need someone with the authority and access code to press the buttons.

Even if I refund $ back to someones credit card, I need them to give me the credit card details over the phone because we dont write down/store the persons credit card number.

You cant entrust all staff with the refund password for the EFTPOS machine because otherwise, youre at risk of someone giving themselves $$$$ in refunds and catching a flight the next morning out of the country.

I do agree it shouldnt have to take 2, 3 weeks to a refund.

Edit: I think its Coles. If you complain about a product purchase, they send you a $5, $10 ect Coles gift card.

Funny you say that, the cultural norm in Australia seems to be less and less kissing, more hugs & handshakes, or even waves.

In other parts of the world it is still acceptable and expected to kiss family members (both the same and opposite sex) on the lips. Quite a culture shock for those not expecting it. Not sexual at all, just different customs.

Yeah. The lip kissing I find confronting. Maybe even more from a Hygiene perspective than the sexual one

I recall one cruise, think it was QM2, where it was stated the Captain would not be shaking people's hands as is customary during the meet and greet sessions due to risk of him catching a communicable disease.

I used to be anti hugs and kisses, mostly because I had a grandma that demanded a kiss every time I saw her. The more she demanded, the more I resisted. Now I'm a hugger but only people I know well. I still like my personal space.

Im OK with respecting kids 100%, I dont ask for hugs or kisses ect. Its their body, they can decide and hopefully in future, kids will be less likely to be abused because they dont feel they have to accept inappropriate touching and can say no. Loudly.

I was lucky. Paternal grandparents were Brits and they do not 'do' the hugs and kisses stuff. They passed that on to my Dad. Maternal Grandma - well, she lived with us so there wasn't really the need. She was a honey.

A couple of years ago, I declared it the summer of NOT hugging and kissing everyone. It was ridiculous after a while, a dozen or so people every Saturday and Sunday and 99% male so I was done and loud about "nope, not hugging or kissing this summer so hello, great to see you".

A show about nothing had a scene for everything.

I don't understand the resentment some people have for their grandparents. We left when we were young and I missed my grandparents growing up. Still miss them now.

I was in Rome and some-one made a beeline for me in a plaza, with open arms, wearing a 'free hugs' T shirt. I'm not sure if they spoke English or not, but they were left in no doubt that I wanted them to go forth and multiply and if they touched me I'd job them. Thankfully stopped about 5m short of target.

I remember in my junior Cricketing days, during a rain break a kid was hugging his mother and kissed her on the lips and then proceeded to nuzzle his face between her bosom...

My whole team was watching with bemusement at this mother-son bonding... He was at least 14.

I'm with Queenie.

I saw that too and was going to have a bit of a read.

It's a pretty good deal.... just make note that the balcony rooms are boxed in on either side. If you want an expansive view of Chao Phraya - they are best avoided.

Balcony are #06 / 07

Just finished my packing, only a 2 night stay in Adelaide, so HLO.

I packed most of the cubes on the weekend and now it's to bag pack.

Too much for one bag, not enough for two.
