1935 build for us and British built which I've generally found to be poor so sounds similar!

Ours was early 50s; typical two bedroom weatherboard where the laundry was probably outside originally but someone put a door through from inside at some point. I loved that house and hated it probably almost as much. It had a lot of quirks. Once a friend stayed in the spare room and said she couldnt sleep a wink because of all the creaking and groaning noises, but I guess I'd just got used to all the strange noises it made.

Our house is quite simply drafty. Too drafty to get that compensation effect I guess. Good with the bad.

And what compensation was that?

Oh dontcha hate that. Seems that what I type is not what ends up on the screen. And sometimes four letter words are inserted by auto and need a hasty amendment.

So, speaking of four letter words. We were watching Billy Connelly the other night at 7.30 on Ch 7. 32 year old son was quite perturbed at his use of the C word. Thoughts?

Time you explained it to him? :)

I hate the C word.

Had to counsel someone at work about using it. SHE was calling a guy it. No. Just, no!

Window update... A little quieter, perhaps slightly warmer, and still plenty of condensation. I'll do the outsides next week.

It's like any other swear. I see no problems with it over anything else. I guess other people's sensitivity to it improves its impact? :p

Recently bought an S8. Always hated Samsung for phones and this is no exception. Battery life on this has been worse than my old phone which lasted nearly 2 years and only cost £100. Unfortunately it's the only Android option that allows me to use one of client's mail solution.
My experience with batteries in general has been quite poor. I remember the early days of the bricks. You used those to talk 2-3 times and the battery was gone.

I'll be trying to get an S7. I have skipped all the even numbered S* phones.

I'm still using an S4

... but I am reasonably diligent at making sure the battery is generally cycled by going from 100% to < 20% before recharging.

That awkward moment when a coworker brings their adorable kid to work and says, "Give Denali a kiss goodbye" but you notice they have a cold sore on their lip and do your best not to touch the kid.

WTF, babies with cold sores!

I've never wanted to kiss a baby and refuse to do so. My immediate family has finished breeding and always understood. Other people, I don't care what they thought but always wondered why they wanted their precious child to be kissed by a non-family member.
