I've never wanted to kiss a baby and refuse to do so. My immediate family has finished breeding and always understood. Other people, I don't care what they thought but always wondered why they wanted their precious child to be kissed by a non-family member.

I agree. Im usually air kiss and kinda hug but keep your distance. I dont even slobber over my own family members/kids.

At home today and went to make some coffee. It appears that the new cleaner we hired has snapped the coffee scoop/brush and then put it back on top of the grinder making it look like it wasn't broken. There's no way it was broken when I used it last.
I don't really understand how it could have been broken anyway, it's tough plastic. You'd really have to go out of your way to snap it. I'm more furious that it was arranged back to look like all was OK.

Not everyone does. Personally I would rather strangers not touch my daughter but don't want to be rude.

I kiss my daughter on the cheek. Never quite understood the Anglo way of kissing their children on the mouth. My father kisses my daughter on her head.

We hired through an agency. Will have to follow up with them.

I am staunchly anti-personal contact in almost any situation. Handshakes are fine. Rare for any female friend/acquaintance to get a hug from me. I don't do the kiss hello/goodbye.

I can't stand people in my space. Wife and child excepted naturally.

And forcing your child to kiss people hello/goobye (with obvious exceptions) is awful.

The younger generation expect and want hugs. I've not kissed my kids on the mouth once they became grotlet kids at school. Cheeks only.

Good grief. Some people should just stay home.

A couple of years ago, I declared it the summer of NOT hugging and kissing everyone. It was ridiculous after a while, a dozen or so people every Saturday and Sunday and 99% male so I was done and loud about "nope, not hugging or kissing this summer so hello, great to see you".

I disagree. Some businesses need to remember who is keeping them in business and perform better. Refunds, once acknowledged, should be instantaneous.

Funny you say that, the cultural norm in Australia seems to be less and less kissing, more hugs & handshakes, or even waves.

In other parts of the world it is still acceptable and expected to kiss family members (both the same and opposite sex) on the lips. Quite a culture shock for those not expecting it. Not sexual at all, just different customs.
