You're right about that. last Mon in Levin NZ it was $1.75 per litre. A short time later at WLG it was $1.90

And Hauraki in AKL $1.89 then $1.67 at Avondale about 15 kms away. No competition in Hauraki, only servo for about 5 kms in any direction but plenty in Avondale.

This is poor Marjorie. She flew to Melbourne for the theatre and literally got hit by a bus! She'd going home today and her phone hasn't stopped ringing. Leg in a brace, arm in plaster, wrist has been operated on and she still has hospital tag on her wrist.

No idea how she'd going to sit in her seat.

Edit. Poor Marjorie is in row 3,hopefully she will be ok as she looks really banged up.
My aunt who lives in Perth comes over to Melbourne several times a year to go to the theatre and opera. A couple of years ago, she was 'run into' by a woman with a pram on the corner of Swanston and Bourke Sts. Ended up with a broken hip so instead of 4 days in Melbourne it was nearly 10 weeks.

Meh, Brisvegas is still in double figures (albeit, just).

Everyone will be wearing the one jumper they own!
The relative temperature was ~2-3 degrees lower and coming from warm room it felt like minus.

Samsung S5 at around 50% full battery charged this morning for over an hour and only got to 94%. Used it for 10-15 minutes and noticed battery at 66%. The end could be near?

Recently bought an S8. Always hated Samsung for phones and this is no exception. Battery life on this has been worse than my old phone which lasted nearly 2 years and only cost £100. Unfortunately it's the only Android option that allows me to use one of client's mail solution.
Why buy a Samsuck in the first place :?:

They are cheaper for a reason :!:

What happened to the flight? I don't remember any major incidents but I'm not a huge follower of that sort of news.

It is the flight that they have identified as being the target of the bomb by the guys arrested in Sydney last week. The brother (oblivious to the plot) was on it and it is reported that the device made it as far as check in.

The car I hired yesterday and returned on time today and full of fuel has built in GPS. Creepy.

Also bought chicken for lunch and visited 2 cheap fruit markets....
I don't fill up a rentalcar at the closest servo to the return site. I only fill up to first click at a servo usually about 20km out

Lots of rentalcars have GPS and Bluetooth. Interesting to see the destinations others have put in and names in the Bluetooth phone list

Hertz policy is fill up within 15 kms. I think Avis and Europcar not as lenient.

If I do longer distances like yesterday then I fill up where it's most convenient then top up near airport.

I can judge very well.Got a car from Avis in NYC with an empty tank. They told me I could return it empty. On the trip meter it showed 2 miles that could be travelled.

Eurocar car rental at Hobart, brand new Outlander with 2104klms on the clock for approx $22 per day! Love low season pricing.

Made it to Port Arthur, checked out viewing spots for hubby's night photography and now relax before dinner.

Oh and met Marjorie outside airport, she upped her meds to get through the flight and glad to be home. Poor thing. Hubby offered her his seat in 1D but she declined as 3 had leg room.

But unfortunate if you forget anything
I'm more a 'what do I feel like tonight for dinner' person and then go and buy the ingredients.
I pick receipes for the next fortnight, buy accordingly. We then pick from that list each night what is going to get cooked. I pass thru town on way home, so I can pick-up last minute necessities.
Never had a delivery service to our home.
Find it quiet a novelty when working at one of the rentals and realise we can get food delivered, and be able to keep working.

And are you wearing the thermals?:)

always been interesting to see Samsung making componentry for Apple products.
They even sue one another in the meantime

Apparently they are supposed to make the screens for the next iteration of iPhone?
I think it's a bit of you do what ever is the most cost efficient.

I worked for ExxonMobil for years and we bought our Diesel from Shell.

Why?

Because ExxonMobil sold their Diesel for a higher price than they paid to Shell.

Mikly way photos?

Milky way or aurora but it's currently clouded over so it's wait and see. When we were at Easter Island, he was waking up about 4am for Milky way photos with the moai.

Starting to get cold and hungry now... Waiting for dinner at the Fox and Hounds tonight.
