If it looks like a duck, walks like a duck and quacks like a duck....
It could be that sound effects guy from Police Academy wearing a duck suit!

My understanding is that as the fuel tanks were ready on schedule they were sat on the ground at Toulouse for 2 years waiting for the rest of teh aircraft to be ready and he tanks degraded.
The words "on schedule" don't seem to get used anywhere near oftan enough these days when talking about building new planes...
Edit: I just noticed my very appropriate post count for this comment...

789?
789?
Yes i did get that, just a shame that the post referred to a moving target. What happens in 6 months if someone reads it and wonder why 1376 is relevant to delayed aircraft. It was 787 at the time the post was made.

No worries about the 'flippant remark' nor 'moving target''s.Yes i did get that, just a shame that the post referred to a moving target. What happens in 6 months if someone reads it and wonder why 1376 is relevant to delayed aircraft.
Anyway, I'm over it and in some ways I'd have preferred my flippant remark to have been treated with the respect it deserved and been deleted.

.... and remember whos fault it is that we have this thread :!:Certainly won't be me...I've already read them once
No wonder he gets strange looks in QPs..... and remember whos fault it is that we have this thread :!:
It's all my fault as I guested him into the BNE J lounge on Sunday :!:No wonder he gets strange looks in QPs.

I have hardly had a look at FT OMNI, and no real interest to start now, but yes this is one of the nice advantages of the off-topic threads on AFF.Look on the bright side.
This is both better than FT OMNI and it counts towards your post count!
Interesting thought. Would people on AFF continue to post to off-topic threads if the post did not count towards post count? What incentive could you possibly have to take the time to post to a thread that will likely be forgotten or the post lost in the bowels of the thread by the time you posted anyway? Just like this post although my post count has incremented by 1.
AFF Supporters can remove this and all advertisements
It probably keeps a few people around here sane also :!: :mrgreen:Look on the bright side.

(IMHO Omni is just full of rubbish)
I have never spent enough time there to to find a goldmine :!:Depends.
Stuff like "Count to 100,000" and "The rlleyes thread" are wastes of time and posts (yet they are oddly "popular").
There is other stuff which is either your everyday trash (given a wide audience, not surprised to find) or is sometimes in "goldmine" territory (rare, I know....)
