Congratulations on the safe arrival of bub and I hope all is well with your wife and she gets some rest, before the reality of not sleeping a full night until 2025 hits her.

Very happy news!
We've been lucky with our 2 year old. She began sleeping 12 hours at night from around 5 months. Hoping baby brother gets with the program!

Mr FM made the jump after Master FM gave him a Google watch a couple of years ago, but he is really, really unhappy with them. Not so much the phone but they are months behind everyone else in updating their operating systems with security patches. E.g. They still haven't done anything about BlueBorne. It is probably not high risk but the others have released patches and Samsung haven't and he says they are like that all the time, so he won't touch them again.[/QUOTE
Please welcome my son, the newest future frequent flyer, to the world. Born today at 12.55pm. 4kg, 53cm.
Him and Mrs AS are healthy, but tired.

When I picked him up he wee'd on me!:p
Congratulations AisleSeat and welcome to the world MiddleSeat?

My first slept through the night at 6 weeks, second took a bit longer about 8 weeks. Last feed around 10pm, next 6am. Was never going to risk going for a 3rd child.

Oh Poop. That's what I used to content myself with with a non sleeper. Every parent needs to have one.

My little nephew gets a bit boisterous pulling hair and pinching faces. SIL and bro said not to laugh and firmly say No. So firm no said. He was stunned.

His Newborn sister whimpers a bit if not held.

They were in the back of car and little niece was crying a bit, my nephew turns to his sister and says NO.

Don't you know people are only ever allocated one baby who sleeps well?
I had 0 out of 3 - 8.5 years of sleep deprivation. Took about 12 years after Ms FM started sleeping through the night before I regained my sleep patterns. They started sleeping through the night between 2 and 3 years of age. Somewhere in that started having panic attacks and generally being crazy woman, but eventually it all went back to normal. They hardly slept at all in the day either - maybe 1/2 hour in the morning and again in the afternoon....

I remember our second child wanted to be held/cuddled non stop. Naturally we stopped at two.....
Congratulations on your baby Aisle Seat.

Perth has a pea soup fog this morning so expect flight delays. Should burn off by 9am.

Other than a snouts in trough fest, what exactly is the purpose of UN Security Council if they can't stop a country firing a missile across another that is not at war.

A unique solution to Nth Korea. Drop a million iPhones into the country and provide free satellite unblocked wifi.

A letter in today's paper had a woman complaining that Tigerair only gave her one small bottle of water and then wanted to charge her for a cup of water later. Sounded pretty poor for a 6 hour flight. But then I looked where it was; Singapore to Bangkok. If it was 6 hours she must have taken the extreme scenic route as it's only about 2 and a half hours usually.:eek:o_O

Given the maths discussion in the last couple of days, thought this might amuse some:

Haha, and they are just dealing with discrete variables. They would be apoplectic with calculus which deals with 2 or more continuous variables which can have infinite values at the same time

Yes Apple can collect all the used iPhones now that iPhone 10 is released and we can move the NBN Skymuster there.
