Well I had a surprise party today. For a big birthday that was a year ago. Son’s partner suggested we go to a food festival in the city as son didn’t want to go. Ok. That’s a nice thing to so. Son’s partner said she was going a bit glam and she did, as sweet young things do. So I put on makeup and nicer clothes. On the way to the city we got stuck in a SSM demo of thousands. I didn’t know the timetable so didn’t stress. Arrived at the Intercontinental Hotel - mmm thought we were going to Hindley Street for a quick bite. Walked in and saw my son at a table. Walking further in I saw SIL and niece all smiling and then my best friend. Son and partner had organised a high tea for us.
It’s funny with a surprise party. You don’t see everyone at once but person by person. Hadn’t seen best friend for jonks but when I did I just said WT! are you doing here! We talk like that together.

Anyhoo had a very enjoyable arvo starting with a delicious Coffee Martini.

Wallabies game has a lot of empty seats.

Either losing team's don't put bums on seats or because it's bloody Canberra.

I fly to NZ often for a game, but not going to Canberra.

Has anyone updated their iPhone to the beta version of IOS11? I’m not seeing much difference!

Who wants to go to Bruce stadium for a night game at this time of the year in Canberra, same goes for Brumbies matches in the dead of winter, I know people that haven't renewed their membership of the Brumbies for that very reason, why get your bottom frozen off when you can stay at home and watch in comfort? No brainer for me.

This afternoon was quite pleasant, all things considered, I don't understand why the tahs can play games in the the afternoon in Sydney, yet Canberra teams are forced to play games at night when it's much colder and far less pleasant for spectators and the players.

I really think the ARU (read nswru who really run rugby in this country) don't want rugby in Canberra at a local nor international level. Recent schoolboys competition is a very good example of this.
