I am just so glad that we are manufacturers and wholesalers so we don’t have many dealings with the general public Bundy Bear.

Both these were with customers(trade customers)

I think the problem is there is so many emails that no one properly reads them anymore.

You could say that if you had 4 people in a room then you had 8 people in a room and everyone had to talk to everyone else; 8 people would not be double as effective as 4.

Same with emails and between our company group I think the average is around 50 a day that need replying to after you have found out the necessary information, I get the guy who wants a $5.00 plug to fit a product we sold 5 years ago and then you get a guy wanting a radio but I need to source it from Perth, and both want an answer now.

I am going on a lettuce and water diet for the next month :D I am in the process of cleaning out cupboards while Ron is in Tassie, I have started with my walk-in, today I threw out 30 skirts :( :( :( they just don't fit anymore  tomorrow its the dresses rack !!

MrsGM and child are off to Kambalda on Friday for a long long weekend visit with family. I will be left at home to perform various man duties including resurfacing the back deck, transplanting citrus trees, reorganising he walk-in robe, and other fascinating pursuits. And she'll have the car, so I'll more or less be stuck at home.

Not the worst weekend for it mind you. The footy grand final should be good (not fussed about the NRL though), plus plenty of other sport on. And I can watch the new Star Trek series as well!

Luckily I will be well stocked for food and booze.

You are a good woman. I tend to look in the wardrobe and go 'nope, too hard'. But then I did do a bit of a clean out before we moved here 4 years ago.
As for the lettuce and water....what are you thinking???:p:eek:

I've always tended to keep my former outfits and suits, now too small, saying to myself: "RooFlyer, there are megabucks right there in those clothes. You know you are a stingy old coot, so lose some weight and fit back into them and SAVE"

Sadly, that was just another self delusion and the other weekend they were all laundered sorted and offered to charity (who I must say is getting very particular these days).

I had similar position - Mrs QF WP wanted to go up to Bribie Island for 2 nights with a friend (our neighbour) and they took the dogs (a pet friendly). I looked after the kids and cat.

I'm with you on the AFL on Sat - sitting down with my son who went to an AFL Camp today.

We threw out a pile of MrLtL's suits (all grey) when we moved and then again the other week we did a bit of a purge (of his things only). Somehow the 80s and 90s cut of clothes doesn't look as good these days.
He just tried on a few pairs of trousers (last season's) and they are far far too big. The waist line is so big now the trousers can slide right down and he can step out of them.He bought 2 pairs of trousers the other week but looks like a few new pairs coming up as well to replace these lighter ones. Instead of 32 inch he is now 30 which was his size when we married 44 years ago!:)

The other issue is people not actually taking time to actually read their response.

I got a brief email from an internal client this week - about 3 short sentences. I had absolutely no idea what she was saying/ trying to say. I ended up bouncing it to their manager to address the underlying issue.

I copped a dose of flu and dropped almost 5kgs over 2 weeks. So much for the flu shot this year. I should have had one in California but didn’t. My fat cells are disappointed at the moment.

Any one got Apple CarPlay in their car?. Do you like how Apple Map functions as an Apple CarPlay in-car navigation unit?

Just discovered that the satellite view in Apple Maps uses a lot of phone data enough to go back to Standard view.
The thing that annoys me is that third party navigation apps don't display on the car's screen. So it is Apple Maps or nothing.

FWIW, I don't mind how it displays, just that I can't display my Hema app on the car screen.

And SYGIC for me which is a much better map than anything else I've tried.

I'm hoping that ios11 will be seamless for existing carplays

An awful story I just heard on radio. A lady who lost her husband due to meningococcal B few weeks ago led the call for free immunisations for it. She couldn’t afford to pay for it due to funeral expenses etc. She is now fighting for her life as she has now contracted it.

Someone declared themselves a "double platinum" on another thread.

Reminds me of Delta Flyertalk, with their double secret super Diamond 218 million miler status.
