No probs with Apple.6 plus Purchased outright from Apple. 2.5 years later battery died (no AppleCare extended warranty). They tested it and said it was going to cost $$$. Then said when it was entered into the system, the reply came back as warranty repair. So replaced FOC with refurb model and they also replaced the screen protector FOC as well. 3 months later the refurb phone screen went funny returned to Apple store - also replaced FOC along with screen protector. All easy.Second iPhone 6s just died in 14 months.
First one lasted 6 months from purchase, after which it turned itself off and refused to turn back on (known problem apparently and they told me I shouldn't leave it charging overnight as that is the cause of said malfunction).
Was replaced under warranty with "refurbed" model.
Second one now has broken speaker/microphone (I can't hear people and they say they can only hear a muffled sound from my end) and the home button has just stopped working..
About to toddle off to Telstra shop for a fun discussion on Apple's 1 year warranty versus Australian consumer protections and the expectation that the lifespan on a phone sold on a two year contract will actually last for two years with normal use (and no damage i.e. water/dropping from my end).
Has anyone had any luck in getting a repair/new phone in a similar case?
