Please pass this on to anyone in NSW that has young kids in sports.

How to claim the Active Kids Rebate
From 31 January 2018, parents and carers of school-aged children enrolled in an approved sport or fitness activity can receive a $100 voucher to cover registration and participation costs for that calendar year.

I remember being told about them taking this stadium down when we were in Atlanta in March, some of the locals didnt want it torn down as it had other uses.

But its easy to get rid of things in Atlanta because nothing is very old so no heritage issues.

Went to sleep Sunday night and left long distance glasses where I usually leave them before going to sleep. Woke up Monday morning and glasses have disappeared. Very strange. And alcohol is not involved.

Luckily 3 year old long distance glasses are still usable. For now.

I'm sitting in a QP listing to an unnecessarily loud group of FIFO workers. One of them foolishly thinks he can drink the QP's entire supply of rum before the flight.

It seems one of this group doesn't like FIFO work and is considering a career change. He's told his five mates he's considering a role for which he needs a National Security Clearance.

When told the process is difficult and takes time... especially the need to detail every residential address for the last 10 years, our FIFO friend asked "what should I put down for the 9 months I was in the Brisbane Correctional Centre?"

FWIW the consensus was to list the street address and hope for the best.

Somehow I think he might be FIFO a while longer!

Hilarious.
My son needs to apply for high clearance and he’s an apprentice. He’s asked us to keep our soon-to-expire passports as they will want to check ours in order to get his clearance. I hope that guy learns to like FIFO.

Absolutely hilarious. Many, many years ago I was doing recruitment for Christmas Casuals for a large retail store. As the applicants were filling their application forms one of them asked me how do I spell 'cheque'? I told her and asked why.

She replied that she had convictions for passing bad cheques. She asked if she needed to list them individually or just write '10 convictions'. I assured her the latter would be fine, knowing she had no chance of ever getting the job.
