This song was released when I first met mrsdrron.
RIP David Cassidy.
I know, So sad, a memory of my teen years....
According to the news it has erupted but airport / flights not affected yet.
Yes, enough to make me confirm our annual travel policy for next year before it becomes 'a known' event and not insurable.

When you go into a meeting and you find one of the attendees is named Mr Baiter. Cue side eye from your Supply manager who is trying not to crack a schoolboy joke.

Photo-0068.jpg Photo-0069.jpg I was out riding ,my pushbike today and a came across a newly installed "bike repair station". These are being installed around Perth.

For those who know Perth, this one is located near the Kent Street Weir (currently being rebuilt) on the Canning River.

I've been offered an ongoing position, which is pretty great. Only hoop to jump through is that my position has to be advertised and I have to go through the interview process. Guess I'm spending the weekend updating my resume.
My role has finally been advertised. Now to go through the mind-numbing selection criteria...

Question. How do you go prepare for an interview for the job you already have, knowing that its yours, and the fact that the interviewees will be people you work with, including your manager?

It's an opportunity , a great opportunity : To refine the role and to clarify anything currently unsaid, but most importantly of all .. it's a chance to impress your fellow workers in a more formal setting with your scintillating personality, your humble appreciation of their interest and your absolute mastery of the required task.

Good luck however you approach it

Wish I had this - and a million dollar tax bill would be nice also - would be a great indication that I am not earning bad money

I said similar to the husband, said remind yourself of how much money you cleared.

He was still pissy, so I made him his favorite burgers for dinner followed by a ice-cream sundae with crushed biscoff. Still pissy but in a food coma.

Ha ha I can't answer that, sorry (other than to suggest you treat it seriously, and ignore the fact that the job is yours) but I once had to sit an interview where I desperately hoped I wouldn't be given the job.

The investment bank I was working for was taken over and everyone who may have been made redundant had to be considered for a job - any job (reasonably) - in the new organisation - this saves them paying you the redundancy. If they give you a coughpy enough job, they hope you'll resign after a short while.

Now, by the time the interview had come up, I had found a new job in another investment bank (at higher salary etc etc), so the only thing between me an a nice redundancy and walking into the new office shortly afterwards was this bloody interview and the possibility of being offered a job! If I just made myself an a--hole, it would be counted as 'not making an effort' and that could imperil redundancy as well.

Talk about nervous! Anyway, I came through the interview with flying (or muted?) colours, was sacked a couple of days later, paid out and settled into my new 40th floor office a couple of weeks later. :)

Yes it means that your hubby is fabulously wealthy - didnt you know?.
....

Which would explain the house peeling paint and practically falling down while we live in it. One day I expect to come home and find the rear bathroom/laundry gone. 3yrs timeline/rebuild cant come soon enough.

Should be back to VA Gold by mid December. By way of background, my previous job entailed heaps of interstate travel in the early days of Velocity, and I maintained Gold for six or seven years, and took the benefits for granted. I ended up travelling first class to Europe with my wife on Etihad with the points accrued.

Going to my present job, with no air travel I watched my status shrink to Red. Now I'm travelling again, with five trips to Sydney, one to Cairns and one to Brisbane in the last two months. More to Sydney and a couple to the Gold Coast, augmented by the wonderful flybuys status credits, and I'll be there. Bliss!

I'm doing work with Aerocare (all power to them) so often don't even leave the airport, but I don't care. Gold again, with Platinum in my sights. I have two overseas holidays with my wife next year as well.

I had similar experience with the ATO and our company. You could likewise hear the fear. Figured if I didn’t blow up it might work for me later if needed.
