The totally off-topic thread

I got blank looks in an interview quite some time ago. The question was, ‘what would you do if someone came into your office and said they had been sexually harassed’. My immdiate thought was, you mean I’m gonna get my own office? But my answer was, ‘I would sit them down, give them a cup of tea and call the sexual harassment officer’. Luckily I knew already that they did have one of those roles.
They seem reasonably happy as I got the job.

Good advice, thanks.
It's only been advertised internally, which is a big giveaway to everyone at the organisation as to what's going on.
Definitely yes, I'm going into it like it's a new job though. I've got prepared answers for the .last likely questions.

Just looked up Suzuki Mighty Boy and it looks like they are now taking off in price. Not much room for a mattress in the back.

Sadly, there were no little chocolate squares which would help get the weight up in the nooks and crannies.
Forgot to mention, T2 has a new tea called Canberra Blend. Smells just like Anzac biscuits.

My husband's record is 995grms. He's desperate to break 1kg... So close, so many fails.

This is Jane.

Jane is working out what curtains and other soft furnishings they should get for the new house. The floral curtains would go well in the bedroom with the bedspread Jane currently uses. She is not sure if she should have a contrasting or matching tablecloth in the dining room though.

Oh, Jane is able to do all this whist in a cubicle taking care of some other business.

Whenever I get my car serviced, I pick up 2 dozen donuts and drop them off for the guys in the service bay.

Which is why I was at Krispy Kreme, mascot.

That's your explanation and we NEVER would doubt it.

Awesome for BA to come to the party... and not just handing out the boiled lollies before landing... actually doing real stuff on board.

So I was playing AFF bingo on my qantas flight and think I was able to mark off seven threads? Being:

  • took someone's shadow (checkin at the airport allowed me to move to row 24 bulkhead)
  • on board greetings and additional services for elites... it was CL city... 'good afternoon mr bond (James bond), can I hang your coat?'. Platinum... hmmm... not so much love!
  • reclining seats (the CL at the bulkhead reclines his seat into the CL behind... not good!)
  • feet on bulkheads... person next to me did it... on the magazine holder. So I tried it too... but not my cut of tea
  • offered upgrade to business couple days prior... $100. Didn't take it. Not sure of the benefit as the curtains were left open, so other than some extra seat width, no privacy
  • the snack? pretty tasty! business class got their choice of a sarnie or soup. And coffee service well after we'd started descent
So I count seven. Did I get the compete set? (oh, no one went through economy to use the J class lav... I think that's because we had more in the main cabin :))

FWIW... row 24 bulkhead has much more legroom than row 23 bulkheads, and the row 44 bulkhead. In case anyone gets the opportunity to move at check in.

Going through Christmas decorations box to give away items. Apparently we were much cooler back in 2003, the last time I had a tree up. Miniature booze bottles for the tree.
