Standing at the door waving to my daughter and she's looking at me wondering why I'm waving.

Then train doors close and train takes off and she then realises why I'm waving to her and starts crying.

Priceless moments that last a lifetime.

I have the trifecta of gold rings :D white, yellow and rose, plus two platinum rings, and a few silvers.

For 2.5ct, I would have expected bigger as shes looks petite.

Or is it combined 2.5ct?

The property market in, much of, Perth is still in the doldrums.

Yesterday I noticed that a (very basic) rental property in a pretty grotty part of Perth, Langford, that we had sold about 30 months ago for $355,000 is now for sale at $339,500. And, they must have spent at least $15,000 putting security fencing up. I feel sorry for them, but the market fall/stagnation has hit lots of people.

Darwin prices are still high. Wouldnt mind moving there but not at Sydney prices.,

I was totally gobsmacked when he gave them to me. He gave me a small box and I thought it was a pair of earrings but when I opened it there were three rings. He had had them on lay by for several months. I suppose it's lucky I lived ;). It was 27 years ago though.
He is clearly devoted to you. As he should be.

Now to try and call a US 1-800 number with phone card. Is it 1-801 that I need to dial as 1-800 numbers are also Australian numbers.

Dunno if there's some special trick... but the 800 number should work fine on skype. Just select USA which automatically puts the '+1' in the field, then enter the '800' followed by the remaining numbers.

Called Marriott in the USA this morning using Skype and when the called was answered after about 2m30s she hung up on me as she could not hear me. Possibly line quality poor.

I have not been able to call since as the number is not available in my area. Absolute rubbish. I literally called a few minutes ago.

Glad I don't have regular important business to conduct and relying on Skype consistency.

Poor line quality probably means poor internet. I used to get that problem frequently and it was a damn nuisance when I had to call Canada frequently for business (now Telstra gives me free calls to 10 countries, including UK, USA, Canada :) so I haven't skyped in ages.)

Surely you know that to dial an overseas number you have to either add the international access code (0011 from memory), or "+". So "+1-800 ...." cannot be mistaken for a call to an Australian number. Same on Skype as your own phone.

Try and try I could not get Skype to call that number again today.

Ended up calling Marriott in Sydney and explained the situation and they were able to make a reservation in Hua Hin using my 7 night Category 1-5 certificate 1 day before it expires. Hope wife and daughter enjoy the resort. I'll be able to enjoy 3-4 days of cheap golf during the golf festival in August.

I got through to Marriott USA the first time with Skype. Was on the call waiting for 2m30s then she answered and hung up. Could not call that number again.

Phonecard is a different story.

I really like the ring.

White gold wearer here too as normal gold does not suit my colouring.

Oh this rain would have been perfect on Monday.

The saying rain is never there when you need it is true.
