Is it too late? Happy birthday Bundy Bear! :) I shall buy you a beer or two on Wednesday night....

Dunno about that. The software version on my TV has changed.

I'm interested in knowing more about OTA updates for TVs and other assorted devices. Anyone have any good links as to how the technology works?

I saw the movie The Time Traveller's Wife earlier in the evening. Very interesting movie with a confusing and complicated storyline.

I've been looking, but found next to nothing on it.

Ditto. Found a reference to using "subchannels" (whatever they are - presumably something similar to Teletext), but curious about how it all works. Especially when it seems to be able to occur when the tv is in standby mode rather than actually having someone in front of it watching a channel.

Perhaps it's similar to Wake-on-Lan type technology and it is listening to a certain channel/frequency or whatever waiting for instructions.

Happy Birthday BB from a fellow piscean ... 'tis mine today

Happy birthday serfty!

Let's see if our esteemed frequent flyer will score a cake or something in the sky (or in the lounge) for his birthday. :D
