We just count to 10 here in NSW, nothing to blow into. I’ve been breathalyzed twice in the past couple of weeks including today on the way to do some last minute shopping.
I have been tested twice in the last two nights. Both times in the work car - normally they wave me through (TKWIA!). I would rather stop, as it sets a good example.

Too hot to sleep. Just turned on air con.

Told hubby that if we get a repeat of 50deg heat like last year, I'm booking into the novotel near work.

GarrettM never rush the purchase of a fridge. You will not be happy with it. We had one conk out on December 23rd so we had a pick of awful ones on showroom floors to get a replacement on Christmas Eve.

If I turn on my ducted air conditioning at night my neighbors daughter threatens to take me to the council :D
So we suffer through it instead

I've been googling the booze we've been getting all week from vendors, to see if good stuff. Now my FB is spammed by booze advertising.

We have a policy that all vendor gifts are put in my office until tomorrow.

Everyone's name goes into a hat and you get to pick a hamper ect. This way, supply and marketing doesn't get to keep everything.

Fortunately, there is about 4mtrs from our air con to the fence and their bedrooms are about another 15-20mtrs from that.

We don't turn it on often but eventually sleep wins. But now I'm wide awake.

We have split system air conditioners in each bedroom.I think there are a total of nine units in our house. They run pretty quietly so the neighbours are not rioting.

Having previously resided in NSW and ACT I remember doing this and wonder why that style of testing isn't used here in VIC. I was always stopped at five or six. Being teetotal has myriad advantages.

Another difference I remember is that in NSW/ACT the police person also checked your licence.

I was wondering about this as the house design we love has ducted but reading some new home forums, a lot are having issues running the entire house. Some new homes only can run either upstairs or downstairs on the builder installed ducted.

Ducted $10+K, individual units about $1-2K.

We switched from ducted and never looked back. Our sons had their own temperature controls. With a central system no one was happy.

When mobile drug testing was introduced, my husband was one of the first and ended up on national TV, being tested with the premiere giving interviews.

I was breath tested Sunday about 10.30am.

Officer: Any alcohol in the last 24hrs?

Me: Not in the past 24 years!

I wonder what profile a middle aged, fat wife in a barbie car ticks on a Sunday morning for a random stop by roaming cops.

That's not an uncommon demographic for drink-driving around my way

I bait all the time around the stables , bait is in special boxes that only allow rats in .
Also use special bait that can be eaten by a dog or cat with minimal harm.
Sad part is that I kill native rats as well as rattus rattus because there is no way to discriminate

For the first time in 20yrs, I saw a rat running along the fence the other week. My scream scared it to jump into the neighbours side. Ewwhh.

Four hrs sleep last night, once the house got cooler. I dont drink coffee so how soon can I have a coke?

Heat suppose to break midday today and drop 10degs.

We were quoted $14K for ducted this year for the house, opted for individual units in 2 bedrooms. - LOVE IT. The main bedroom has plenty of room for chairs to sit and read/laptop etc in comfort. Not nice if you want to go out to the kitchen to get a drink :( Never thought about the noise... no neighbours close by.

Drove past two booze buses on the way to the pub the other night, both were gone when I drove back a few hours later (and no, I hadn't had anything to drink).

Interesting weather last night, came home fearing my car would be covered in hail stone dents. Turns out our kitchen was flooded instead from water that came in via a downlight.... really over this house, this is the fourth or fifth problem we've had in 8 months. Glad it's not our house.

Quite often, we have a RBT unit across the road from us.

Once, I reversed out of my house, did a 180, to the opposite side and got about 5mtrs and pulled over for a breathalizer.

I did say I doubt I would have left my driveway, knowing they were across the road and the officer said I would be surprised by how silly some drink drivers are.

Oh goodie. Power blackout right now before I had a shower and washed my hair for work Christmas lunch. Fridge is groaning with hams, turkey and prawns in freezer for Christmas Eve. Better come back soon. Gotta love that battery we paid millions for. What a waste.

I thought Adelaide fixed their power problem? Good luck with the fridge food!
