LOL. No wonder he needs Virtual Reality! :)
Both my parents were every day alcoholics and abuse was a weekly thing.

I'm oK with people social drinking but my husband knows I won't accept him drinking in the home or regularly.

Our GM often has drinks at the pub up the road. He once said "One day I'll get you there to join us!" , I told him, only if hell freezes over.

I'm oK with drinking with a meal but to go out where the aim is to only drink booze. No thanks.

Both my parents were teatotalers, so I also have a hard time dealing with anyone that has been drinking heavily.

Working a 2nd job at the Viking Tavern at Milperra (Yes - that one) Milperra massacre - Wikipedia did open my eyes a bit more to the drinking culture. (it was a great place to work in the years before this happened)

I’m sorry to hear that.

My parents didn’t drink. Dad would keep beer so long to give to guests that it went flat as it wasn’t used quickly enough. I’m talking many years. I brought some sparkling once for Christmas lunch and he put orange juice in it immediately.

My brother doesn’t drink much. His wife’s family origins are actually Puritan. He’s only allowed a rare tipple. Hubby drinks (normally) yet his mother was Methodist. I think he and I are the black sheep of the family.

Sent an email around my office yesterday reminding people to clean up after themselves in the kitchen, otherwise I'd be confiscating any cutlery/crockery left out at the end of the day. I have a lovely collection of bowls and mugs already

I want to remove all but 2 tea spoons. Dont tell me my people wont reuse a spoon if its the only choice, Ive seen them stir tea with a pen.

The virtual reality headset thing was very weird.

I cant get on boats and can get sea sick watching oceans or boats on TV, so I felt a bit nauseous using it.

It was weird, seeing something completely different to what you know your surroundings are and hearing someone elses voice, that is right next to you but you cant see.

I had to hold onto my husband as I started feeling queasy and needed the physical touch to anchor me.

Its not my thing, I'll give it a miss. He bought it to play chess.

Not necessarily.I have told the story before of our son at age 2 when we were driving north from Palmerston North on our NZ holiday. From the back seat he pipes up-"This is where I lived before.Round the corner is a line of big trees and up on the hill a red house where I lived."
And round the corner a line of fully grown poplars and up on the hill a red house. It still makes me think. He has no memory of it now.So maybe not an afterlife but another life.
This is what I was discussing with my brother on the weekend. I don't believe this is our first and only experience of life. Too many "coincidences" including what's going to happen next as your son above.

Not easy for someone with blinkers to understand.

We have the paddle pop sticks but they still use the teaspoons... all 192 of them.

I just have to get this off my chest or... I succumbed and bought Hot Cross Buns from Woolies just now!
