I had a shadow on my flight.
Lovely young Canadian guy in window seat had just flown from east coast Canada through Vancouver to Melbourne then was on to Canberra. He had not seen his partner in 5 months and was so excited to be coming 'home'. (He'd lived here in 2014-15 and he and his partner had bought a block and they had a house built which ha hadn't seen yet).

Our fav display home has been restyled, I wonder if I can drag hubby over to see it this weekend. I guess thats the bonus of waiting a couple of years before we KDR, always new options to check out.

I was on a QF flight recently in 4D and there was someone sitting in 4B and 4E. Looking back through the aircraft one could not see anyone sitting middle seat for next 7-8 rows on either side.

I’d rather possums than the rat issue we have!

Based on discovering a mound of dirt in my shed (which I have NFI how it got there given it’s on a concrete slab) I’m a little concerned they have gone under the slab. And if so, there is absolutely no access back there to try and deal with the issue.

Kind of tempted to just set fire to the lot!!!

Anyone else seen The Greatest Showman yet? Saw it on the weekend and loved it and have already gone through the soundtrack several times on Spotify since.

Maybe they were not true to the story but the production is phenomenal.

Ahem. May I suggest my patent method for getting rid of rats and mice from hard-to-get-to (but enclosed and non inhabited by anything else) areas? Chlorine gas. I knew that chemistry education I got would have a practical application.

NOTE: I am half kidding here. I have used chlorine gas to get rid of rats in a shed, but its bloody dangerous and highly poisonous!

Speaking of musicals, would love to see Bette Midler in Hello Dolly on Broadway.

Friends have Peter living in their garage. There is also a Mrs Possum and infant there at times. They are quite attached to them.

Yes - the music is very catchy. It’s the same guys writing it who went on to write Dear Evan Hansen and also La La Land music.

Denali we went to see Bette Midler in Hello Dolly and it was a good fun show so l recommend you do go to see it. The Marriott Marquis is right near the line up for the show. In the 4 nights we saw Waitress, Groundhog Day and Dear Evan Hansen. Groundhog Day has finished.

Just possums that get into my roof, leave poop on cars and pathways, jump across the corrugated iron roof at 4am. House has been there for 90 years.
