Was going to ask my husband to bring back food from one of the outlets (lots on offer) but it's been over an hour since he went to the bar so I guess he's not coming back so room service.

FM, I love internal courtyards. A bit of greenery really does it for me. In Chile where I grew up all the old colonial big houses were the same in the cities - from the outside they were walls with a smallish door to enter, but internally they were built around a central courtyard with plants - sort of like a peaceful oasis away from the town hustle and bustle. I like that even in a house that is not in a city.
I actually got the idea in Spain when we were in Córdoba and the houses had beautiful courtyards with fountains. This is another one we have off the lounge room - it does mean the roof looks a bit weird with “holes” in it,

Dueling bands. Downstairs Brewery have a Metallica cover band. Across the road, ACDC cover band, Novatel blocked off entrance for the Sippery and have their own DJ plus actual concert support band. Uggh, too much conflicting noise.

Edit. I have all the windows and door open for fresh breeze, that's why I can hear everything.

I also note that instead of the usual barricades, blocking vehicle access, they're using buses and trucks for security.

And had a "What if this happens" talk with husband. Times have changed.

When was the last time you saw a Torana?

Some sort of car rally at Olympic Park.

Drivers being very polite, noise wise.

There are valiants, Monaros, Fords and Holden's (husband is rattling off their types), mustangs etc. I'm not a car person but I can appreciate them.

Wonder where they get the blinds for the rear windows?

Well, wasn't that a fab weekend! High 20s low 30s here. Fishing locally on Friday and caught a nice lot of flathead. Up to Coles Bay on Saturday to get a few things from the place (pre moving out) and couldn't resist a swim at Richardson's beach, and admiring the flowering gums (pics posted here) .
Swimming at Spring Beach today - a surf beach c15 mins walk from me. Amazing white sand and crystal clear, turquoise water. (Re-inforces my disinclination to go overseas or interstate for a beach/resort type holiday - its all at home!).

Bag of fresh apricots from local grower - nearly all gone in an afternoon!

Spa, reading, etc. And now the long weekend is over, the shackies have gone and we locals have our neighbourhood and town back.:)

More flowering gums from around my own area:
