Looking at dates for Iceland.

Me, thinking May or June. Him thinking Feb or March.

Me: Its avg minus 2 in April! We're Australian. We were cold in Seattle and Nashville in May.

Well QF have finally realised JWIA.
Went through the QF premium entry at BNE.Rocked up to the QP ladies with my BP and my old lifetime QP card and she directed me into the J lounge.
And this was after the lovely check in lady had given me an exit row.
Then the plane got into MEL early.

But then I flew Rex.o_O

Was looking at Rex flights to Cobber Pedy... got excited when I saw they had J seats but they are the Y seats, just called J. :confused:

Do Rex still do “the savoury or the sweet?”

Today it was a packet of plain chips or a muesli bar.
But a little tip for tall chappies on Rex.On my last Rex flight I turned down the exit row as I thought there was no extra leg room.The lady said ask for 11B.Today I did-

FWIW, here are some pics from when I was in Iceland at the end of March a few years ago. Of course temps and conditions can change from year to year, but I recall it wasn't too bad. The coast was actually mild, and the interior was sunny, but the roads can be a bit icy, but they are well maintained (especially in the tourist areas). As long as its not windy, minus 2, in the sun is quite tolerable (yeah, yeah, I'm from Tasmania, but it really is).

Power Station at the famous Blue Lagoon. OK, so it was a work trip to look at geothermal energy :) . The Blue Lagoon (behind me in the pic) was formed when minute particles of silica in the power station spent water filled up the pores in the surrounding lava field. The ponds then formed and the water is blue from carrying the same silica. People are bathing in power station effluent ;) :eek:

Has anyone seen the movie "2012" the with John Cusack? Released a few years ago and trying to work out whether it is worth trying to get a copy to view.

I was happy to see a "For Rent" sign on the house next door.
<grumpy old lady hat on>
The house has been rented by students/noisy young folks for the past two years who don't seem to understand the difference between a living room and a back deck. The noisy kids this past year have been particularly inconsiderate of the small blocks we're on, how close the houses are, and that some people might not want to listen to their music, or them talking over their music, after midnight.
<grumpy old lady hat off>

As we commented on the sign, and noted new people would be moving in, my Miss 11 said "At least there'll be no more swearing"!! o_O
Guess what upset her the most with the conversations we'd overhear from their back deck??!!

Hopefully I'll have no reason to rock up to the front door at 1am in my PJs with the next tenants. It's quite a contrast - the house on the other side has been empty since June. We've been waiting for construction to start for three houses on that 650m2 block, but not a thing's happened yet.

..... young folks .......after midnight.
<grumpy old lady hat off>.....

If I was you, at 7am (or whatever your local council states), start the bagpipe CD and grass blower on that side of the house.

Did I mention my husband has many amps and guitars? Invite some of your like minded neighbours over, point the Peaveys & Marshalls towards their house, grab a mic and start your group online lessons :)

But thats me....

Good luck!
