I would have to buck the trend, love my ANZ. I do have a back door though.... my daughter is godmother to our branch managers grandson. We have often discussed our banking needs while she is still in her PJ’s.

This is why I took one lecture in Anthropology at Uni and walked out. Mother's brother's father's in law, cousins twice removed - you get my drift.

Ok... our daughters went to school together.

And we had a great NAB Business Banking Manager in January 2017 but in in June NAB, for our convenience, sacked all Adelaide Banking Managers and moved our account management to Melbourne.

Actually on thinking this through, we should not have to have personal contact with our Business Managers in order to receive customer service, should we.

We still use Westpac for our business accounts Flashback but they are at risk now as they really pissed us off with a deal we were doing with a partner.
NAB were incredibly cheap for the business car finance on 3 Toyota Camry hybrids.

Gosh, the SA Government is on the nose right now after the release of the report into deaths and maltreatment of frail elderly at Oakden. We have an election in just over 2 weeks. I think the tide has turned and even the MrX effect might have waned.

Do you remember the net rate?

Didnt Jay try to spin it by saying Leesa did a great job bringing Oakden saga into the sunlight?
Shouting at an ICAC commisioner is not a good look and obstructing in person or via lawyers in the face of damming evidence caused her politicalgrave to be dug deeper.

Those rates were 3.94% as the lowest and one at 4.10%. We deal direct to avoid trailing commissions. Very cheap money is always good.

Its all about who you know.....

I guess this is the first time I have had to deal with an anonymous person over the phone, rather than the business relationship manager at our branch. It is not a pleasant experience. Had another chat with him today and the application has gone in. Goodness knows what it has on it as his grasp of superfunds is abysmal. However apparently it is me who doesn’t understand what he says.......

Didnt similar happen in Zimbabwe?

‘It is nothing more than racist theft’

SOUTH Africa’s parliament has voted in favour of a motion that will begin the process of amending the country’s Constitution to allow for the confiscation of white-owned land without compensation.
So spoke to my brother - apparently Ramaphosa’s power base is quite weak and he has to give into the radical elements.

It is worse for the country than just the land consequences. Collectively the farmers have a debt of over aus$16 billion. If all this then becomes a bad debt the consequences to banks, pension funds, employment is huge.

Oh, he did way more than that. He promoted her to the No 1 spot in the Legislative Council (Upper house) when she left the Ministry a few months ago. Recently she decided to resign from politics altogether for 'health' reasons and she 'didnt want to be a distraction at election time, not that I expect any adverse findings'. However, this was after she'd contracted 3 legal representatives, at TAX PAYERS EXPENSE, to stop her name being released in the report. She lost. That was when her health excuse came in.

The only reason she was not cited for Maladministration was because one of the senior people in Oakden ordered an immediate review. This was stated in the report. Today the radio they replayed Leesa's interview from last year where she said SHE invoked the review. The report released yesterday said she had deliberately avoided accountability for errors and then wrongfully claimed she was the one responsible for remedial action. She was slammed for her behaviour in the hearings. She even shouted at the Legal Counsel running the review. And the Goverment refused to release Cabinet documents about the issue. If they knew nothing about it (which is what they are all claiming) then why wont they release those documents. (I wonder who reads these boards as a guest ;))

The gain to AUS after Rhodesia-Zimbabwe eviction has been overwhelmingly positive.
If history is to be repeated, the farmers will make extremely productive immigrants.

Why do you think politicians have so many media advisers.....

Re banks - the first time I changed banks 15 years ago it was tricky (personal, business accounts, mortgages etc). Second and third times was very easy, and mechanically its even easier now.

Funnily enough, I'm now back with the CBA who was my original bank. I went from CBA to Advance, then to Westpac which lasted about 8 years till I had a dispute, then to ANZ (worse than appalling on the business side - lasted about 4 months) then back to CBA, where I'm pretty happy, but they don't see my cash.

NAB like us so we get the best rates Quickstatus. Interest rates may go higher later this year.
These loans are 36 months to zero balance as we don't want debt shortfalls in cars we are wearing out.
We went Japanese Toyota Camry hybrids as our work cars do about 1.1 million kms a year.

I might just park here .....

Yep. On the exit road. Clearly the arrow was not a clue.
I have a photo somewhere from our local shopping centre, they parked on the pedestrian access to the lift foyer (wedged between the door and the bin). Someone came and roped the car off while I was shopping.
