Yeah. MrP was on liquid diet for a week after his which is why he was surprised I was being so normal the day afterwards. Maybe he derived just a sliver of satisfaction (nah, not really) when he rang from Melbourne last night and said I felt a bit poorly. I try not worry him when he is away.
After my wisdom teeth extraction in the morning, I went back to work after lunch. Not sure what the fuss is about.:D:D:D
Not even panadol

Is it just me or do other people loathe cleaning the range hood? It drives me nuts. Doesn’t seem to matter how much boiling water I pour through the mesh it still is greasy! And the actual fan bit is impossible to get to.

Mine has mesh thingies I can put in the dishwasher to blast wash. Ive tried to buy replacement charcoal thing for inside the rangehood but havent found it yet - Im guessing it would be cheaper to replace the whole unit every few years.

And mine is stainless and I hate stainless. Which reminds me, I have to do a big oven/range clean this weekend.

When we moved into grandmas place it was clear the rangehood wasnt cleaned often. We gave it a very good go as it would drip fat when you were cooking. The bits are too big for the diswasher too
The one in our new house will be much easier to clean (glass rangehood with removable bits that will actually fit in the dishwasher).

He had to have a general anaesthetic as the teeth hadn’t really emerged. I think the surgeon cranked open his mouth and used a jackhammer.

I’ve got three hiding wisdom teeth. The one that did emerge is gone and which was removed very quickly using gas. I went back to work that day too.

Hope Warner gets a 1 test match ban for his poor behaviour in the 1st test. He needs to remember the saying "Pot calling the kettle black". Suggestion during the time off: get focussed on cricket again....you have contributed bugger all in the last 12 months.

Mine were all hidden/impacted. The anaesthetist report showed I was under for just 23 minutes, which tells you how fast they get them out.

Went to a home show and they had a pop up vent with underbench filter that you pop into the dishwasher to clean.

Instead of having the sink in the island bench (which I already decided I dont want), Im seriously thinking of putting the stove top on the bench with pop up exhaust. We dont have gas in our street so it'll be electric slimline plate.

We dont have kids to worry about spills & burns, I do a lot of cooking so not facing the room/having my back to the room when cooking annoys me.

Ultimately comes down to price and looks. I dont want to mess with the design too much if it ramps up the build cost.

Yep. Agree. I can imagine the sledging he dished out first. It’s also kind of caveman too. “Insult my woman and I’ll hit you”. He was very lucky the team mates esp Khawaja held him back. And Warner’s wife has an extremely colourful history so what he said was probably true anyway! It’s exactly the kind of behaviour we are trying to eliminate in young people.

Wow just looked up Wikipedia....CW does have a colourful Hx indeed! Plenty of sledging material there ;)

As part of my reno's am having a new oven installed so don't have to clean that for awhile yet.
We're a month from going on holidays so I try to do a big clean at home, so if the plane crashes the house isnt too disgusting

Because while rummaging through my stuff, picking out the good stuff and looking for the property deeds - last thing I want is someone saying, Look at those skirting boards! :p

Whereas I would wait until I'd returned home so the cleaning wasn't wasted. I don't care what people think when I'm dead.

I was in the dental chair for 45 min. Drilling and dentist had to stand to leverage 2 out - felt like my head was going to be ripped off too. Local anaesthesia only. No gas.

we can put the mesh things in the dishwasher, but it still doesn’t seem to get them 100% degreased and of course you still have to clean the other bits.....

:) :) I am the same - although I don’t think I have ever thought in terms of what if I die - just don’t like the thought of leaving a mess behind! I clean the oven, cooktops, fridge (of course) and everything else I can think of. Usually get on the plane exhausted and REALLY in need of the holiday. :).

Everybody whats all the fuss??.

Just go down to the local Autobarn and get some engine degreaser. I use it all the time and it works all the time. Alternatively if not into toxic chemicals use a really strong steam cleaner that puts out actual hot steam. Boiling water by definition is only 100C - doesnt matter how much heat you use. Actual steam is >100C

I usually come back home and get off the plane still needing a holiday. Most probably because I hate relaxing holidays where you veg around.

Yeah. She likes her sportspeople. If it’s true then is it a sledge? Coz really there’s enough there without making anything up.

Dr FM had 4 out, one of which was impacted. She only had locals - her dentist said all the doctors only have locals :).

We drove down to Sydney, picked her up from the dentist and drove back to Canberra with her, so I could Molly coddle her and make her jelly and soups and things. Fortunately the local lasted pretty much until we got home. She complained a lot about pain, but I don’t think it was too bad. She cuddled up with the dogs and watched TV, while I ran around her. She flew back after 3 days and all seemed fine.
