My wisdom tooth extraction:

Went into it with much apprehension. Aesthetic injected and he went to work for a bit. Went to get something off the tray, and I felt something drop inside my mouth. He looked and proudly took out the tooth, which had just dropped out into my lower jaw.

When I thought he was just doing preliminaries, he had actually gone as far as getting to the tooth and loosening it!

Satisfied customer.
Maybe Wisdom teeth have different root structure but molars have three roots and each part needs to be broken and removed separately.

Not done under general anaesthetic?
Nope. Local.

I think there is more ‘after trauma’ when you are under to get you back as quickly as possible. And they can be as rough as they like.

What is the point of a pop up store, if theres not intention of opening one down the track?

In N Out in Melb sold out in 30mins.

I enjoy the LAX outlet as you get to sit outside and plane watch but I wouldnt fight the hordes for it.

I think it was planned to sell out quickly, with slow service to make it appear that the demand was huge.

I’ve been reading up. They sound dreadful. One female forum described the pain as being worse than childbirth. And that codeine didn’t touch it.
I took 2 codeine last night hoping for a good night sleep. Also put one of the packings in which were given to me in case of bleeding. That packing helped enormously as it gave the same feeling of being able to compress against it which is what I wanted to do. I thought codeine would help me sleep but I woke every hour. Just another bad night I guess. Anyway I’m sure I don’t have dry socket as it seems better today. Just a bit weary.

Yes it just laughed at Codeine - the only worse pain I have had were a couple of amusing bouts of Kidney Stones. I went back a couple of times to have the wound treated. Actually the old standby of Oil of Cloves was more effective than anything else. My brother ended up on something like OxyContin for a day or so when he also got "dry socket".

I have just made a Dentist appt. for tomorrow to get ready for another crown.

Student at work bought lunch from the hospital cafeteria. Noticed something shiny and lifted a whole bunch of keys from his curry  Took at back and all they asked was "are the keys yours?" o_O

Local anaesthetic? No thanks. My preference is knocked out under general anaesthetic otherwise it can wait.

And I said I thought Adelaide drivers were a bit docile.

Man’s bizarre road rage reaction
The video footage emerging today shows a man angrily yelling into a parked car, presumably at the driver, before marching to the front of the vehicle.

He then proceeds to climb on top of the Mercedes sedan where he begins to jump up and down on the bonnet of the car in the broad daylight of the CBD street.

Had to laugh and wonder yesterday. Pre voting for our state election in 2 weeks opened yesterday. Labor have been in for 16 years. We had an electoral issue last time, popular vote went to the Liberals but not via boundaries. A couple of independents went with the incumbent govt.

This year will be interesting and can’t wait for Antony Green to bob up. The electoral boundaries have been corrected. Many issues arisen with current Government, Liberal leader not as dynamic as I’d want, and we have MrX.

He is standing in one electorate where the preferences for Labor and Liberal have gone to each other and not to MrX. Weird. Anyway. In MrX’s electorate the queue to lodge a pre vote was around 90 minutes. When people were asked why they said things like “we want to sleep in Saturday”, “we don’t want to queue Saturday”. Seriously? It seemed the queue was only in MrX’s electorate. I have no idea what to make of it all.

I read that the Gambling industry were donating heavily to BOTH the Libs and Labor..

Maybe but the Hotels advertising is simply anti Mr X and no sense of whether they want Lib or Labor. Anyone but MrX.

Mr X is in my electorate so I get to choose when I get home.

And I have to get counted in the NZ census tonight

I'm getting disgusted that people are resorting to sledging to try and win matches.
Nothing wrong with sledging.

"Is that a carrot you're holding?"
"Are you throwing pies?"

The Australian team take it to a new level with the personal sledges and the silly disrespectful celebrations.

A little story from my cricketing days. The last few years I was Captain/coach of the lowest grade team. One other senior member and all the rest were under 16.No sledging from us.However on another team a fellow with the same role as myself. He sledged all the time.I told him a few times I thought it inappropriate doing that in front of the younger players. He didn't listen.
But one day I got him.The umpire was a patient of mine known for not giving LBW.But I had inside knowledge. He had had a stroke with some visual disturbance.I told our young fast bowler to bowl just outside leg stump. Not long and he was hit on the pads.Obviously hit outside leg but I went up in probably the loudest appeal I had made. The finger went up.I knew though that the umpire did see a little to his right.
He had a go at me in a break but after the match a few members of his team thanked me for besting him.

I really dont like modern sledging.I did like the banter of fellows like Freddie Truman. When a batsman complimented him on a good bowl-Aye but twas wasted on you.

You don't appear to be up to date with who sledged who with what in the current match in RSA. If some-one said that about your wife, in the presence of others, I wonder if you'd just shrug it off as 'nothing wrong with sledging'?
