Nope, breakfast by 0700am at the latest:p
You sound like my mother - she had turned 90 and was still getting up at 5am .....

Safaris would suit you - up at 5:30 for a quick breakfast before out in the vehicles for 4 hours of tracking. Then back for brunch, a bit of a rest watching animals with binoculars at the waterholes. Quick afternoon tea and then out again in the vehicles. Fortunately because of jetlag, we find that routine easy :).

I also like the Langkawi sort of holiday where it is all about looking at the sea and reading.....

My brother and SIL regularly go to Bangkok for dental work. They’ve had no problems. Think the important bit is to choose a well resourced practice and experienced dentist.
The majority of dentists are quite good. They have repeat customers. Yes some do cut corners but that would be a small percentage.

I'm not sure I understand why people think that all dentists in Thailand cut corners and are inferior.

I need 5-6 fillings if I'm lucky. That will be a minimum cost of $600 to my local dentist + the Medibank private rebate or around half the cost to a reputable dentist in Thailand.

I also need 3 implants, possibly 4 implants. My dentist wants ~$5,500 for each implant after Medibank rebate. The cost in Thailand is ~$1,700-$2,000 per implant.

I know @MEL_Traveller has used dentists in Thailand without issues. I personally know people who have used dentists in Thailand and are extremely happy with their work.

Agree with LTL, I would trust more a dentist who got their BDS or BDSc in Australia. But that wouldn't make me want to travel to Thailand for the work, but that 's me.

Hope Warner gets a 1 test match ban for his poor behaviour in the 1st test. He needs to remember the saying "Pot calling the kettle black". Suggestion during the time off: get focussed on cricket again....you have contributed bugger all in the last 12 months.
He probably won't. Pack of dogs is right. They love to rub it in when things go their way and everything went their way in this match. Everything including the 50/50 calls on reviews. What they did when de Villiers was run out is not in the spirit of the game and is inexcusable even in the heat of battle.

I have a lot of respect for the South African and Indian sides. They lose with dignity.

Yep. Agree. I can imagine the sledging he dished out first. It’s also kind of caveman too. “Insult my woman and I’ll hit you”. He was very lucky the team mates esp Khawaja held him back. And Warner’s wife has an extremely colourful history so what he said was probably true anyway! It’s exactly the kind of behaviour we are trying to eliminate in young people.

In the words of Paul Kelly's song Bradman: "There were two teams out there today, only one of them was playing cricket".

I'm getting disgusted that people are resorting to sledging to try and win matches. It's a gentleman's game, bat versus ball, bowler and fielding skill versus batting. Call me old fashioned, but the day has come that the game's administrators need to act, lest it fall into disrepute. They both need to be disciplined. Cooling their heels on the sidelines should be the start, 100% match fee penalty, public apology to each other, the games and the fans. Forced to do some grassroots community work. That would be my starting position. #thatsnotcricket

Well the thing is, it has been happening for years. And years. The difference these days is that (some) people take it off the field and maintain it and even resort to violence whereas in the past they’d call it quits at stumps and then have a drink together. Social media feeds it. Some of the old sledges are classic, very funny, but not based on reality. Unfortunately there is a lot of background here and it touched a nerve. Even David Oldfield had a go on Devils Kitchen. Not the best place to do it but the event actually happened and was widely reported.

After my wisdom teeth extraction in the morning, I went back to work after lunch. Not sure what the fuss is about.:D:D:D
Not even panadol
You are tough. From memory you don't feel the cold either.

The drilling doesn't bother me. It's the adrenalin in the anaesthetic that gets me.

I had pterygiums removed from my eyes. The drilling of teeth is nothing compared with the squeaky noises you hear and which you know is the scalpel scraping on your eyeball.

And no they dont pop your eyeball out to operate on it before popping it back in:) And yes its been asked before...

You dont want to have nasal surgery under local. The local injection would be very eye watering if injected into nose especially the tip. Those who need their nose reshapened to remove the bump - they use a hammer and chisel. :D:D

My husband had both eye lens replaced, he was awake but there was a block so he couldnt feel anything, couldnt blink ect.

Hes hugely happy with the results and the $$$$ we spent worked out even within a couple of years of not paying $800 per script for him (3 pairs).

My wisdom tooth extraction:

Went into it with much apprehension. Aesthetic injected and he went to work for a bit. Went to get something off the tray, and I felt something drop inside my mouth. He looked and proudly took out the tooth, which had just dropped out into my lower jaw.

When I thought he was just doing preliminaries, he had actually gone as far as getting to the tooth and loosening it!

Satisfied customer.

My friend who works at the airport and just picks up and goes to places at short notice is off to Nicaragua. Currently in the QF spa.

She'll be back in a few days time, crazy but if youre single and can - then do it.

Not done under general anaesthetic?

What is the point of a pop up store, if theres not intention of opening one down the track?

In N Out in Melb sold out in 30mins.

I enjoy the LAX outlet as you get to sit outside and plane watch but I wouldnt fight the hordes for it.

Mine were all hidden/impacted. The anaesthetist report showed I was under for just 23 minutes, which tells you how fast they get them out.

They don't muck around when you are under. When my elder daughter was 15 she had 4 out in 8 minutes!

Gosh - I just realised that was 28 years ago.
