Yikes, buried in my emails was 3 requests for final payment for our castle cottage accommodation.

I remembered on Saturday that I was due to get an email request but then forgot.

Thankfully, even though late payment, all good. 2 nights here Eilean Donan Cottage - Eilean Donan

Flat tyre on Hubbys brand new ute.

Phone NRMA and hubby hides while guy changes tyre or be a man and admit you just don't care to change it yourself and get monies worth out of NRMA membership?
I've changed a tyre before. Don't want to do it again unless in an emergency.

We tried and will try again. Unfortunately it’s 90% driven by the Principal. And that’s tricky.
Know the feeling well. Either find somebody with $ and wants to be a silent partner, or an Associate who spends time in the business with view to buying equity. Both of these take time and a little luck to find the right person to fit the mold.

A friend’s son has just sold his business to one of the big boys. He will stay on as head in CBR office for the foreseeable present. He got a great price.

They are both at fault. But only one went on to assault and was luckily restrained. And it wasn’t a first offence.
I think the bull has earned himself the right to a lifetime of sledges. No holds barred.

I won't forget how Lyon and the team carried on when Jonathon Trott went home a few years ago. Laughing and carrying on about ending someones career.

Sick, moronic. I'd say childish but that would be offending children. Whatever happened to being humble? They don't deserve what they're being paid. They don't deserve any respect.

You wouldn't regards your carrying-on about the Australian cricketers as sledging? o_O:rolleyes:

Maybe if someone said the same thing about your wife, as was said about Warner's, you may have a different view? Or not?

Warner:
"But in the proximity of my personal space and behind me, a comment that was vile and disgusting and about my wife and just in general about a lady, was quite poor I felt. My emotional response, you saw, was just (to) something that I don’t believe should have been said. And as I said, I will always stick up for my family. And in that case, my teammates as well.

"I’ve always felt that when it comes to family or racism comments or anything like that, that’s just a no-go zone. I’ve been called everything under the sun out the field and that, quite frankly, doesn’t bother me."

Sounds pretty right to me. Whatwould you do in that case, @JohnK ? Remember, he gets it all the time. I notice you haven't said anything about the South African sledging.

It’s all nasty but you can’t just go around trying to physically harm someone for verbal attacks. That’s where society is going bad.

I couldn't have responded any better than reader wordsmith at the bottom of the article:

Warner cannot hide behind "this is how I play my cricket', when his standard of sportmanship is called into question as often as it is . He is a wonderful cricketer but a very ordinary ambassador for the game

For that reason, he should never again be considered as an Australian captain.

IMHO, sledging should be banned from the game, it should play no part on the outcome. Plenty of the gentlemen of cricket would be rolling in their graves (Bradman, WG Grace and plenty of others)

All too easy to use the excuse "But he provoked me!".
