So it has been raining heavily here on the Sunshine Coast - cats and dogs type rain - over the past 10 days - so this morning I bought a rain gauge at Bunnings. Now watch it turn to sunny dry weather :D

Likewise in the northern suburbs of BNE. What is the blue stuff in the sky and the round flaming ball of gas??? o_O

Dum, de-dum, de-dum ...

That's just now; on this weekend, there's the Taste of the Huon. I've been dieting for 3 months, just to get ready :).

Quick. Wash your car.

Rooflyer - could you please keep your fingers crossed and pray to the Tassie gods to keep that nice weather going as I arrive NEXT Friday !!!

I know you're still at work - but if the SYD IT issue had caused a flow on effect to schedules, it would have started earlier today and would be ongoing throughout the day and into tonight. Looks like mostly JQ and TT flights have any significant delay.

Therefore looks like the respective carriers IOC's (QF and VA) have sorted out flight relatively well.

If you were in a corner block and were building a brick/cement fence with pillars would you build the pillars for both road frontages or just the main road frontage? We're putting bars in between the pillars so 2 frontages adds to cost.

The 2 other sides are just going to be brick/cement.

Do you access the property via the side/theres a rear driveway or its just one fence going all the way down?

We're fencing the property right now. I don't think I'll make side access. We'll access through the gate at the front.

We’ve been having a mini heat wave in SA. 3 months without rain and several days in a row of 35. Def skinny dipping weather here.

My cousins husband was killed changing a tyre on a street in Sydney many years ago.
My cousin died at 17. He was killed crossing the road after they had stopped to assist someone who had broken down on other side of the road.

Of course it was hot in Tassie today.People were complaining here in Burnie when it reached 24.Then again the local paper warns of heatwaves if the temp is forecast to reach 27.

Brisvegas is much more comfortable atm (22.5) , swmbo is greatly amused to see me in a track suit instead of gym shorts and tank top in the evenings.
Once it drops below 20 however , it is winter and serious insulation needs to be considered….
