I remember as a kid, school rooms with gas heaters and you would hold your empty chip packet to the heat and it would shrink into a teeny tiny chip packet - so cute.

Bavaria? According to Gerard Depardieu food show, 40 types of beer in Bavaria.

Nope, diverted to Spain (Malaga) - 4 hours later arrived in Gibraltar by bus. No duty of care provided by BA through the course of that though so one to chase up.... shall add it to the list of things to do as need to claim back hotel etc. for Edinburgh!

We really need a hug button.

My husband is torturing me a Hawaii Five O marathon.

Which reminds me that The Dish is a great movie.

Just saw an unexpected thing in a lounge, Kota Kinabalu, MAS Golden Lounge, 2 small birds probably Sparrows mating! Was very quick then they both flew off, new x-rated entertainment for sure!

Guess small birds can live quite happily in airports, seen them in a few places around the world, but never this.

What’s their Tier Status?

The gas heaters at our school did not work as everyone was taking the "little jigger" out of them which could be used on space invader type machines and jig free games.

Not sure which part was the"little jigger" but could have been the on/off switch in the gas heater.

I hope this isn't too on topic. QF172 was delayed out of WLG last night so didn't make my connection to ADL. As we got off the plane last night there was someone waiting for us. They had a new itinerary and boarding pass for each and a voucher to stay at the Park Royal with a $50 voucher that we could spend on what we wanted (red wine in my case). They put me on a 8.30am flight (the first to ADL) and I asked if I could change it to 10am and they said not a problem just go to the desk and it was done in two minutes.

And it's great to be home!!

That sounds like luxury. When I was at high school classroom heaters were briquet ones. I remember a poor temporary teacher stood too close and burnt a hole in her skirt..

I liked the park royal Melb and yes, always need more power points.

Glad to see know they handled it well. I enjoy airport hotels.

Tweetie cough?

Was much better there than being here in the Qantas Lounge in Singapore. Mr Shouty on whats app or skype or whatever, and I'm not a wine connoisseur, but I do enjoy a good glass (bottle) of red, however the reds available here are mind boggling, geez even I don't buy Billy's Shadow anymore!

For heavens sake, 2 red wines that you can buy from D.M. for under $7 and $12 a bottle in a 6 bottle pack......

The Tiger beer, however is great, ice cold and I mean ice cold!

Food, though is good, especially the laksa, so all is not gloom and doom.

I think we had all 4 seasons in Brisbane a few times today. Weird weather after many months of drought.

Whilst i'm having a grizzle, had to feel very sorry for the elderly Japanese lady in front of us at the immigration queue in Singapore. It was fairly busy, about 1/2 hour wait. she forgot to sign her form, didn't speak English, I'm fairly sure somebody else had filled out the card, the immigration dragon just waved her away towards the back of the queue.
Given the circumstances, surely she could have showed her what to do. What is it about a uniform that makes people feel so superior?
So I happily pushed the dissatisfied button on the survey thingy, won't change anything but makes me feel better.

Jeez, its big:

a floating city.. welcome to the future… but a bit dirty with all the smoke.. so much for clean ships

Ahaha. Good to see QF bringing the best of Australian wines to “foreigners”.

I guess they have an obligation to provide wines the average QF/J* passenger “understands”. :) Let them drink Bintang or ...

That’s one of the reasons I always fly EK these days internationally.
