Knowing my husband, Im often surprised when he rattles off car info. Im like, "who are you!?". He was a car guy back in the late 70-90's but wont even wash his own car now.

I think its because the old days cars were more basic, now there are so many computers ect, I dont even lift the hood.

Don’t even get me started on the 10 foot snake we discovered warming himself on the radiator after we’d been fishing at Coffin Bay

Who does a 3 point turn at the lights of a busy intersection? All to save 2-3 minutes of turning around legally and safe?

We tried and will try again. Unfortunately it’s 90% driven by the Principal. And that’s tricky.
when we decided to retire we looked at selling the business - had heaps of people interested - as soon as the news got around we had a lot of phone calls from competitors.

The thing is what they wanted to offer was ludicrous. In the end we closed the office, retrenched staff and just ran it from home until the contracts ran out. We made probably twice as much as what we were being offered and then could still onsell some of the panels. It is always difficult selling when you are at the smaller end - sometimes just a bit of luck if you find someone who is a good fit, who can come in and work in the business and then buy you out.

If true, horrifying. Twins separated as part of sick study demand answers

Psychological Mengele stuff.

The sick study that saw the siblings separated was exposed by documentary-maker Lori Shinseki in a film called The Twinning Reaction, in which she aimed to help people like Mr Burack and Mr Rausch get answers about their siblings.

According to the documentary, a psychiatrist and consultant to the adoption agency, Dr. Viola Bernard, believed adoptive twins would thrive more if they were raised in separate homes where they could get more individual attention.

Based on the advice, the agency began splitting up twins and triplets and started a long-term study on a number of the children to see how they developed.

That is also the plot of a recent best seller. But I won't say which as it would otherwise be a massive spoiler.

Not the book youre referring to but Boys from Brazil is still a good movie, if you havent seen it/heard of it before.

In a simllar vein, a doctor with a huge ego forced one of a pair of male twins to undergo gender reassignment surgery following a botched circumcision. His goal was to get data on the effects of "nature or nuture" and to see how much of a part that played in their gender development.
It didn't end well, David Reimer was never told he was actually born male, had a very troubled life and ended up committing suicide, as did the other twin.

Geez there are some very sanitised articles on Money out there, virtually stating that he did nothing wrong.

Any arborists out there? After arriving back home, our neighbour said he found a large amount of salt at the base of one of our gum trees, this is the second time this has happened in the last couple of months. It looks like swimming pool salt and no we don't have a pool.
Could it be a natural phenomena? Highly unlikely I would have thought. The tree is large and we can't cut it down, when we asked years ago we were told then that it was 120 years old and historically important.

The only houses it affects are us and our neighbour who said he didn't do it, which I firmly believe. Anyone have any ideas?

Is your tree accessible from the foot path? Do you have a view behind/in front of your house/tree that someone else wants to see?

Its not like a gum tree excretes salt. Seems like someone read a main ingredient in glysophate is salt or someone is a Supernatural fan and thinks your tree is possessed.
