Ive been carrying my own shopping bags in my car for about 2 years. Used them twice.

If they start charging, I will remember to take them with me.

But, if they start charging then the quality better improve like the bag I got in SA Coles over Christmas.

They are better quality in Coles and Woolies. IGA not so much. Paid Paper bags in officeworks.

Problem with these is the risk of over stuffing them and then they are too heavy to lift/carry into the house.

But, Im more and more loving the Coles home delivery. Saves me so much time and effort now and rarely are they unable to provide what I ordered.

I remember going to a supermarket in Berlin 11 years ago and they did not provide free shopping bags but each bag cost 10 Euro cents.

I thought it was a joke then and still think it's a joke today. 15c for each bag? I'm sure they don't cost the supermarket that much.

In SA we’ve already moved on.....

I saw some online that had a fold over flap to stop things falling out in the boot; exactly what I need as I am forever repacking the bags after driving home. Do these have that?
ACT has had the bag ban for several years now. I take bags sometimes and if I forget I pay the 15c at Woolies or Coles. They are the thick ones. Some of the other places charge 10c but theirs are quite thin and tear easily.

I do wonder though if the pregnant lady actually asked for the seat to be cleared. While I dont excuse the woman sitting there, the signs often say "must be available to xyz on request".

Pregnant woman shames ‘disrespectful’ passengers

Ms Chapman said when she has found people sitting in priority seating who shouldn’t be there, they try not to acknowledge her. “Sometimes I ask people if they’d mind giving me their seat, and some people look at me like ‘how rude are you!’,” she said.

I can imagine most people dont make eye contact, heads down on the phone/headphones on ect.

Why don't they make it compulsory to make supermarket bags out of biodegradable plastic?

Whenever in Europe where in my experience you have to buy bags, I collect them and bring them back here to use.

I have quite a collection of the Tesco ladybird (ladybug) bags, unavailable now, gave them as presents to friends and family back here. They are cute. People are even selling them on a well known auction site. I have the woven plastic ones and a few of the jute ones.

One the flip side, this is what can happen to your Gretsch if not handled correctly by airlines. They damaged two!!

He’s a relatively famous guitarist in Australia. Not happy Jan!!!

Looking at all the Gretschs, what did he do, walk through the show room and say I'll have that one and that one and that one?

Did he actually play them because you need to play them, hear them, get the feel before you bond with it.

Holy cough! And that looks like a hard case as well.

WTF did they do, run over it with a cart first? The rage my husband would be in, if that was his.

Is that from FB?

And these days you might cop a mouthful if you offer the seat anyway. It’s hard to negotiate the new rules.

I love the ones that French supermarkets have. And they are free.

Is there an interest rates thread?
Anyone renegotiated to a lower rate? - as in go into bank and say I want a lower rate or else?

BTW what home loan and business overdraft rates are people paying,?
