So supermarkets can profit more? It's like Qantas and fuel surcharges.

If I go shopping it's usually done at short notice. I'm not going to carry re-useable bags with me at all times. It is ludicrous asking me to pay for the bags. It's not that difficult to expect that the cost of bags have already been factored as a cost of business.

What next? Charge the consumer for the packaging of products?
Like I said JohnK I’ve moved on.

Why don't they make it compulsory to make supermarket bags out of biodegradable plastic?

Whenever in Europe where in my experience you have to buy bags, I collect them and bring them back here to use.

I have quite a collection of the Tesco ladybird (ladybug) bags, unavailable now, gave them as presents to friends and family back here. They are cute. People are even selling them on a well known auction site. I have the woven plastic ones and a few of the jute ones.

I love my Tesco ladybird bag

I always bring my own cloth bags and I wash them out every so often. If I'm buying a few apples or something similar at the fruit and veg shop refuse to put them in plastic bags. I have no problem with making people pay for plastic bags.

One trip to the UK the bags had changed designs and no new ones were to be had, so if I saw anyone with one I would offer to buy it from them, several agreed, I bought them a replacement, several gave them to me and one lady said if I gave her a kiss, she would give me her bag! Which of course I did.

Give them lots of hard questions - don't fancy any of them much atm
I just have one currently for all 3 candidates and I suspect that’s all we get to ask. I think they are showing the room currently on Sky news - or were a few minutes ago. I’m not a front row girl.

I'll be glad when the SA election is over. Sick of the phone ringing with private numbers that I'm just ignoring

I can see on Sky News it’s 3 hours 7 minutes and 26 seconds until the SA People’s Forum.

I’ve a bit of a drive ahead of me so leaving shortly.

Where's it being held? I don't have Foxtel so won't be watching

I have several of these type of nylon shopping bags - I usually have one in my handbag for emergency use - and I do keep those reusable green bags from Woolies/Coles in the car - but hardly ever remember to take them into the supermarket. :D But I do remember them for the Saturday Farmers market !!! :)

I dont use those self checkout things and would prefer to wait in line for an employee to scan my items than do it myself and save Coles $.

They dont even give you a discount for them having to pay for less staff on duty.

Lots of media. Think I’m in the right place.
It’s also a pokies and bingo venue. There is keno on the TV. MrX won’t be happy. Corey Bernardi on table next to me in waiting area. I think it’s him anyway. Oh. It’s Paul Murray from Sky with him. He just left. Has to change and have his makeup done.

Just did a drive by this mornings fatal car accident. Car has hit a tree on the opposite side of the road to my place. The usual country road fatality - straight stretch of road (though about to go into small bend) and the male killed was not wearing a seat belt and thrown from the car. Driver from a family down the end of the valley, so she still had about 10km to go to get home.
They are saying she fell asleep at the wheel, but would not be surprised if there had also been a wombat crossing the road, we have a lot of them in our area.

Hey @Pushka, did you answer some survey saying that you're undecided in this election?

Just taking a stab at why they selected who they did.

I’m in a few online survey groups - eg Qantas but haven’t been through this group. They sent a screening email asking my likely vote and if it could change. That was last week.

I only ask as Sky News is promoting it as "100 undecided voters"

Wife's Bridging B visa expires today. She's currently overseas so cannot apply for another Bridging B visa.

Totally stuffed that one up. Brilliant!
