Balloons are bad for marine life and many councils are banning them.

The SIN Ambassador Transit hotel in T2 is ~AUD272 and the Transit hotel in T3 is ~AUD252 for next Friday night for a 12 hour stay.

They are joking right? Needed a good laugh to cheer me up.

Well done Pushka for button-holing a couple of pollies - having to admit to their faults, brilliant. Sorry I wasn't home to see you in real time.

Hmmm, I still like the photo of you I have on my phone.
Was I behaving? :o

Speers drilling Weatherill on why he didn’t sack his Minister and himself resign after the mistakes

The Marketing and Promotions company as expenses reimbursements. It took me an hour each way to get there and they needed a cross section across all electorates.
Looking very pensive there :) At least only a couple of days till voting and it will be all done! I hate the way the campaigns drag on and feel like saying 'enough already'.
Sounds like an interesting evening though.

I think the feeling is that we won’t be done on Sat night. And all those pre votes are not counted until days later. How stupid is that. In the USA they don’t toddle off to bed mid count but keep counting. But here in Oz counting stops mid stream.

True it may take some days to get a result. As one who has worked on elections and counted votes manually, last time after 17 hours on the job it was time to call it a night. The brain just goes to slush.

I remember brown paper grocery bags. A bit dodgy in the wet, but IMHO a better option than plastic. I’m guessing they’re dearer to manufacture. But maybe paper bags which you buy .... ?

Scandalous! Off with their heads!!
12 camels disqualified from Saudi beauty contest in 'Botox' row

Why does everyone looked so dour?

Weatherill was giving his “I care for you all so much” dissertation which in light of history is political BS. And so depressing.

Oh, I can just see that. But maybe they just need to have more people counting. ;)

But how much do each of these these biodegradable bags that are being phased out cost the store?
I haven't seen any biodegradable plastic bags at any store. The current plastic bags are far from biodegradable. They may fragment over time, but not degrade.

The closest thing would be the cotton bags you can buy at some stores.

Arrived home from SGN last night to this welcome sight. MrsGM's book has arrived and is ready for sale.
I know a few people were interested in grabbing a copy, but I don't think posting her sales link here is entirely within the rules.
But if you are interested please send me a PM, and I will give you the link.
I'm quite the proud husband.
