Nice and warm today in Sydney. Have had close to 3L of fluids since finishing golf at 12:30pm. Can't quench the thirst.

This seems messed up. The kid was crying at boarding BUT shes quietly sitting in her seat with her parents and the adults (FAs) are removing them from the flight.

The kid is quitely in her seat, strapped in while they are telling the parents they are being removed from the plane because the kid is a safety concern. WTF.

Father and upset two-year-old booted from flight

After the dog in the overhead situation, Im betting FAs are going to get more pax speaking up/filming.

FA will get less respect over time. Maybe they don’t care

Certainly was a hot day in Sydney. I usually swim in an indoor heated pool (to around 27 degrees) and today the pool actually felt cool!

I don't understand the safety concerns over a screaming 2 year old. It makes no sense.
There isn’t any. Kid was sitting. Just a FA power trip.
What these power tripping does is to prevent good people for standing up for what is right. When power is absolute as it’s becoming in aircraft cabins then abuse of power becomes easy.

Well was snowing in Cork (Ireland) today, doesn't happy very often! Continuing my good run with flying (tongue planted firmly in cheek) only a 1.5 hour delay flying home tonight :D

Apparently snowing back at home (London) too, so will be interested to see what our place looks like when I get home.

I remember going to a supermarket in Berlin 11 years ago and they did not provide free shopping bags but each bag cost 10 Euro cents.

I thought it was a joke then and still think it's a joke today. 15c for each bag? I'm sure they don't cost the supermarket that much.

And the prize for “not getting it” Goes to .............

I heard a radio discussion recently about this. The head of the NT ‘Keep Australia Beautiful Council’ stated that in the 5 years after light weight plastic bags were banned there the usage of heavy duty plastic bags went up 500%. A much bigger problem has been created.

Perhaps more drastic measures are required. Before I went to Rwanda & Kenya I received the following warning.

I was talking to my driver about this 80A37C68-4335-44BB-ACDC-90FF3C5C3092.jpeg and he said plastic bags used to be known as The National Bird of Rwanda.

I just opened up an email to this from London.... I think I have a PTSD workers comp claim after viewing this.

Someone please lie to me and tell me Scotland will not be like this in 2.5 weeks time.

We are meeting our sons future in laws next week and they live near Wales. Snow currently. They’ve never been to Australia. They aren’t huge travellers. They arrive in Sydney next Saturday. I can only hope they don’t arrive to 40c in Sydney. Might be their last visit.

The Victorian fires in Terang are near the area of my childhood. My Dads family settled there from England. A lovely area of Australia where the dairying industry is significant. Not too far to Warrnambool, Great Ocean Road etc. I googled to see his old home - his childhood home hasn’t changed since we last visited there. I’d say 1978. On our honeymoon 40 years ago. Some things never change. And which of course means we’ve been married this year for 40 years. And there is going to be a Trip Report. Venice. Milan. Croatian Coast. Paris. Reims. Budapest. Maybe live if I can do it. 2 months to go.

I would use less plastic bags as part of my kitchen cooking/cleanup if I would start tossing the scraps outside for the birds - but I also dont want to feed to wildlife. We have 3 or 4 types of birds, coughatoos, magpies plus 2 other groups.

I threw out some watermelon on the weekend and it sounded like party central out there for a while. Tried to encourage bees with our bottle brush but that attracts the Rosellas.
