Bit of inane trivia on dogs (also applies to cats and other)

When a photo is taken of the furry friends, a red eye is not seen (red reflex)

Instead other colours are seen

Black labs = green
cougher spaniel buff colour = yellow
Pups and kittens = generally blue
Dalmatians = blue
Red Siberian huskies often red not because of the red coat.

This is due to the night vision abilities of our furry friend. Specifically they have a reflective layer called Tapetum under their retina which reflects light back onto the retina which would have otherwise be absorbed by tissue

This layer is missing in humans

Currently parked at shops, near two large salvo donation bins. Guy drives up, looks it over and takes it all.

Glad I took my box of donation goodies direct to salvo store this morning.

How did he fit the two large bins in his car/van? ;)

Hey there all, am off to bed as it is late where I am. I learnt today that one must not express anything in AFF that goes against anything a mod has done. This is quite disappointing for me. I cannot say what this was, as apparently that would mean this post gets obliterated according to "the rules". And so due to that, I cannot discuss anything about this with members. Seems odd.... and wrong....

Maybe he works for Salvos?
No he wasnt a salvo worker, he was a dude just driving past.

A lady questioned him while he was taking it - not my business/battle.

I dropped off a big box of stuff at one of their stores today and had a look around while there, there is some good stuff at the Savlos. If youre just starting out, dining table sets and kids play kitchens that looked good. They even had a toiletries section, all sealed so maybe ex stock from manufacture but toothbrushes ect at cheap price.

I really hate the upward inflection that Aussies put at the end of their sentences. For some reason it sounds worse in women.

Just saw the latest Instagram qantas tour oh the new PER lounge. The upward inflections were cringing.

In our organisation, those candidates for interviews who do it a lot are advised to try to correct this and reserve the upward inflection for asking a question.

Watching Border Security, it's fun guessing where people come from. Country qld, Penrith etc.

Just dropped hubby off at Hubby Day Care, aka 60min massage so I can shop in peace.

Made so much mixture for sausage rolls that I guess we're having meatloaf for dinner tomorrow. Opps.

Not surprising. It seems to have been built to service high end accidents and surgery that bring in the $. The casualty section is smaller than the original. I cannot imagine what else we will find out now the books have been opened. No wonder the Health Minister resigned - for family reasons - not long after it was opened. It’s a dogs breakfast. It’s wicked. We owe so much for it.
