I prefer packing for a scuba trip than a non diving trip.

Scuba is 20kgs of gear, 2 Tshirts, cosies, sarong, 1st aid kit and crocs. That's it. Bare min.

This is polartec, thermals, jackets etc. I would order for pickup on arrival if I could.

We’ve spent the long weekend discussing & sorting through what to take to France and what to leave behind in Australia. Seems silly to take all the lovely stuff I bought in France all the way back again. Or does it?

I thought the guy in Singapore that practically held me down was the most painful massage ever... until today's 3pm massage.

OMG. I was telling her to stop and sweat was pouring from my face and she didn't!

But in saying this, I crazily feel good, now that it's over and I had a couple of glasses of water. Body feels surprising free of aches and not as locked up.

Seems good excuse to buy more Arche shoes and boots to me.:p

When are you going?

September for another look at property. Then hopefully late 2019. We would have been going now except for some irritants and curve balls in 2017:rolleyes:

A while back I bought a handy little storage box from Bunnings and finally today started the process of sorting all my amenity kit/ travel minis collection so it’s in one place. And quickly realised I actually need 2 trays as I have not touched the 2 travel stuff storage boxes in the spare room...

It will all depend upon the planets aligning, there have been upheavals in our business world, the serious car accident has also necessitated a change in timeline. It’s all about setting a goal and doing what we can to achieve it.

Perhaps build a nest like the Bower Birds to attract mates and other travellers? :)

Finally caught up again - get busy for a few weeks and there’s 50 pages added!

One thing that took up time was when I watched all 3 hours of the speeches from the Washington March for gun control. Some amazing speeches. Martin Luther King’s grand daughter led a chant - only 9 years old and personality plus.

One girl from Parkland was on stage with scars over her face from the bullets and ended up throwing up when she was talking about what happened - she was also incredibly bouncy and clearly not allowing it to define herself as a victim, but to continue to press for change.

Incredible stuff - if they can’t get some small changes this time then I really think they never will.

Master FM is back in Australia to renew his visa for another two years and I am looking forward to getting his perspective.

Sounds exciting. We had dreams of that too. In the Beaune area. Avignon. Chamonix. Western area. Anywhere. My nephew is currently working with the French Submarine company for 3 years. His wife (my niece) and two littlies are back here but will travel twice a year to catch up. He’s been there 6 weeks now. I imagine his French will be perfect by now.

Wow! I’m always amazed at the strength some people have, and their ability to turn adversity into a positive and push for change

One of my mates is going to do the same - except Italy. He's currently deciding on a rundown stone house .... being a stonemason, it's right up his alley. I've told him to buy me one whilst he's at it.
