I hope it’s ok to lose count of the number of years. I have no idea re mine
we never kept track of anniversaries, but when I knew it was getting to a big number, I went and checked the marriage certificate and now I insist on celebrating each year. :). Coming up for 37 in August and now I count with things like 30 was in Tahiti, 31 was Hong Kong. Often we don’t go away on the actual date but close - this year will be Africa, although it will be a couple of weeks past the date (mainly due to having to fit around when the Giraffe Manor had availability- that is a really hard place to get into).

I had to use a few fingers and toes, but counting 37 years for us.

Married 34 this year for us. Started as office romance 36 years ago. Purchased land for our home after being together just 5 months. We just knew we would stay together. Married 2 years to the day we first went out, and moved straight into our first home. (yes he carried me over the threshold).

ours was an office romance as well - we just disagree on which office. He claims he met me when he was working in Sydney at my office for a few months. I don’t believe I met him until I moved to Melbourne and joined the company he was working at.

Depending on where we met, we were living together 8 months after meeting, or 3 weeks :)

We also (in keeping with this site), got married in order for him to get cheap airfares. I was working for Qantas by this time, back in Sydney and while de factos could qualify you had to jump through hoops and I have never liked filling in forms, so we got married instead.

Didn't realise we still had 2 year old 2G phones at home. Vodafone shut down 2G last month which I think means no more 2G coverage.

Are all 4G phones smartphones? Any decent brand 4G phones that aren't smartphones?

The old... 'who do i gotta marry around here to get a cheap flight' bit.

I am guessing that the 2G phones were pretty cheap by 2016? Is there any logic in buying a non-smart phone?-I think most people want to stay reasonably up to date so they don't get left behind & cannot cope in the future

My neighbour down the road, a 'senior senior' definitely doesn't want a smart phone, and had managed to avoid such up to recently when his 'senior-friendly' trick have home no choice when he needed to replace.

Forcing a smart phone is just a way to increase revenue by providing unwanted services.

Also, some people are just technophobes.

Sort of an office romance. I went to the pub for lunch on the first day in my new job, and met Mr ALH working behind the bar (he was the licensee). Whirlwind romance. Living together within 2 weeks. Managing the Hotel together within 6 months and married 18 months later.

Free alcohol is not as good as staff air travel:(

Oops. In our street. NBN installers just struck a water pipe. There goes our water. Guys currently just looking and scratching their heads. It’s a gusher. This is just around the corner.

My brother hates smartphones. He just wants a phone to call and text and play music.

Feel free to park across my driveway. Without asking.
