flidai funnie…..

And cats! I did read that cats don't like to have their food bowl next to their water bowl, hence their liking of drinking shower/bath/sink water.

One of our cats used to head straight to the fish pond for a drink when let outside under supervision. A glass of water on the table beside the bed was another favourite place for all of them to drink from.
Yes, the glass of water next to the bed was a shocker! Patsy made a habit of it so it was always a challenge to ensure the water had not been cat supped before humans.

With an infant daughter I had to against my lifetime stance of toilet seat and lid up to having toilet lid down.

Life has a habit of doing funny things to people.
Yes, toilets can be dangerous places for little ones, as can buckets if water if left around. Very easy to drown.

Official pets - cat and 2 dogs drink from the swimming pool

Unofficial pets - ducks drink from the swimming pool as well

Nappy buckets left uncovered. :(

Could only have a bottle of water on the floor beside the bed. Glass would be either drunk out of or swiped off the table. Bottle also swiped off the table - so easier to just place on floor!

Cat also used to wait for me to leave the shower in the morning.

Dog has taken to drinking out of the fish pond - which has no fish in it - but don't want to encourage it so I put vinegar in there. He also elected to drink out of the very small cat water bowl instead of his 2 large ones...

Nobody under about 50 knows what you're talking about...o_O:rolleyes:
There is a trend now towards very clever cloth nappies. Nappy buckets were gross. Thankfully No2 son broke out in a rash whenever cloth was used so guilt free I could use disposables.

There was an awful child death when they fell into the uncovered bucket and as I can remember it, this wasn’t that long ago. 2003 WA in fact.

That joke doesn’t work in our family. Let’s say it’s a matter of colour. ;)

Ok just for you JohnM I can tell you ABBA have just recorded a new song after a 35 year break.
“I still have faith in you” is coming this December.
Time flies when you are living the dream.

I use my pinky finger to hook around the bottom edge of the door handle. I also use my knuckle for pushing buttons at pedestrian crossings.

If you have followed someone from SE Asia, there will be paper towel thrown on the ground after using it as a makeshift glove to protect hand from touching door handles.

I was going to comment that we went through a period of finding paper towels outside the toilet doors.

So building manager put a bin there and yep, people just kept throwing them on the ground.

As the hallways are security monitored, he was able to have a meeting with the office manager to show/tell and ask them to speak to staff about littering. Problem stopped almost overnight.

Currently in my office and pleasantly surprised it doesnt look like a recycle bin has been dumped all over my desk.

Usually, its covered in "very important pieces of paper" that spreading out everywhere means I will pick it up first.

Plus ive been doing emails daily so no real surprises other than a new CFO/boss (knew this) so hopefully Monday will be all good :) Note to self, remind new boss I have holidays booked in August :)
