Child proofing is a term that gets used a lot these days. From memory our parents did not child proof our house when we were growing up.
We are probably more over protective theses days, but it’s amazing what they get up to. Master FM was incredibly curious and in spite of child proofing the house he still managed to do destructive things! E.g. I was vacuuming, he was watching me (about 3 at the time), phone rang, while I was answering it, he managed to turn the vacuum cleaner back on, tried to vacuum, got the cord entangled underneath (it was an upright) and blew the power. All in about 4 minutes. Another time he stuck his hand in the video slot and pressed eject - he wanted to see how it ejected. Hand was totally squashed :). Another time I had the little guard thing out of the power point and ge tried to stick a fork in. There are enough accidents that happen, anything you can do to prevent them is worthwhile!

I just had a thought (yes, a worry I know!). Who will mind the fur babies FM as MsFM will be travelling with you? Don't tell me they will have to go to......kennels? Poor babies.
yeah - we have already thought of that. It is tragic :) :). We will use the kennels we used for her wedding. We can put all 4 dogs in the same “cage” and they love being together, so it seemed to work fine for the wedding. It was only 4 nights last time, so this will be a fair bit longer :)

An update on our bank loan application. Some toing and froing with a branch manager has seen us receive approval, with a couple minor hurdles yet to jump. She was actually pretty helpful, and workeed with us to get it over the line.
Looking forward to flicking my "pointless" Citibank card in the very near future.
A friend of ours was telling us about his bank dealings last night. He has a quite large portfolio of investment properties and he needs to roll over the financing and was contacting a number of banks to get the best deal. One bank wanted details of his super investments and asked for a list of assets from his manager. (This is in spite of working full time, which I thought as a bit odd). He doesn’t have a manager, as he manages his own SMSF. So he made a ss of his various investments in the superfund and sent it to him, the guy said I can’t accept this, you could just be making this all up. My friend apparently said “I am SES in the public service, my wife is in the public service, we both have top level security clearances. Going on the royal banking commisssion which one of us is likely to be the most honest.

It was very rude of my friend and a bit unreasonable, but it was quite funny as well.

I had two kids with personalities poles apart. Eldest was crazy active and didn’t sleep at night. Youngest was the dream child who slept and ate as necessary. But it was his act that brought me asunder. As a 2 year old he got the lid off the toilet cistern and pulled out the Blue ‘hygienic’ insert I used. Took it into the lounge room and was playing with the blue paint (aka dye) on my off white Berber carpet. I know I was so angry but all I did was pick him up, pop him in the bath to try remove the blue that was all over him, check with the GP that it wasn’t toxic, then popped him into his cot where he went to nap. Older son who was 6 at the time watched it all unfold. He was waiting for me to explode as he knew it wasn’t good. He still remembers it at 32 because he now realises that however angry you are, you cannot do anything to harm a child. He says it was a great lesson for him.

IMO, China will soon rule the planet by economic force.
There was no value in their lapdogs continuing to tilt at a trigger happy US windmill.
An accident might have happened and messed up their plans.

Except I’m usually full from the great food onboard and the idea of stuffing another meal in between two others doesn’t appeal! I’d rather have a quick 15 min massage to help a stiff neck, a lovely hot shower and a short sit down over a G&T. It means I have moving about and not going from sitting on a plane to sitting in a lounge to sitting on a plane.

I prefer to have shower, eat a nice meal in the Lounge and then skip meals on the plane.

In flight coughtails at the Bar......Well that’s a whole different story :p

Yes, because the lid should be shut once you've finished.

I really dislike having other males to stay at our house. I feel they haven’t been properly trained if I see the seat up in the main toilet!

Wow. Nearly 48 hours for someone to get the reference!

Next Cosmo is on me. ;)

I’ve been off the air for 48 hours!

BTW. Funny? story. Years ago, our 8 year old nephew came to live with us. A few days after starting school I was called in to explain why my child was calling all his new school mates ‘Rimmer’ and ‘Smeg Head’

PS. Make sure it’s a Cosmo and not a bl@@dy Mimosa

A coworker just sent an email out to every employee in the company, listing private employee home addresses for an entire department. WTF! Not my address (I would be PISSED) but I responded with a "we need to talk to HR about privacy" response.

A bank sent us an email on Friday with a (long) list of someone else’s clients. A reportable offence which I am looking forward to disclosing to the relevant parties.

Is your son now an artist by any chance?

He may have just been going through his ‘Blue Period’

An ascendant China while the US is on the wane. History demonstrates that empires are never permanent. The US though seems to have an ability to reinvent itself. But it’s multitrillion debt will be a drag (though not necessarily a noose).
