Is your son now an artist by any chance?

He may have just been going through his ‘Blue Period’
Well, he does love working with his hands. He’s almost finished his apprenticeship in commercial air conditioning. As a child he had to have the best organised set of colouring in pencils.

I don't think that this will be the last word on the loo issue........

Thirty years ago I got in the habit of leaving the seat and lid down, something I still do to this day.

At the time I was sole-parenting my 2 daughters aged 11 and 14.

They would arrive home from school well before I arrived from work.

When I arrived home I'd check the loo. If the seat was up I knew that boys had been in the house.

They never worked out how I knew.

That’s very clever. :D

If there is ever another female sneaking in my house, b**** better clean the house while shes here.

An ascendant China while the US is on the wane. History demonstrates that empires are never permanent. The US though seems to have an ability to reinvent itself. But it’s multitrillion debt will be a drag (though not necessarily a noose).
Does the future need to follow trends of the past?

I wouldn't want China to be an empire for any length of time.

i am going to start escalating next week and then hit social media. Not something I like to do really.

I said to Mr FM that I would never book direct again - clearly cruises you need an agent to take away the hassle factor.
Definitely use a TA when booking Silverseas. It costs no more but a good agent should sort it before any problem.Even if we book a cruise onboard we let our TA know and tell SS she is taking over the booking.
They always try charging in foreign currency-it used to be USD now often GBP and we tell our agent to say AUD.
And if we have any problems our TA takes it to them.
As an added bonus our TA is a Virtuoso agent so we have a nice lot of OBC on this cruise.

live and learn - this is our first cruise :). To be fair the Silverseas consultant told me they would refund any foreign currency charges before I saw them - it’s just getting them to do it is the problem :)

But late now, Bru. But you need to define "empire" in your discussions.
The Greek Empire and Roman Empire to name a few. They had control of most of the known world at the time. First the Greek language then the Latin language were the common languages.

I reckon the Chinese Dynasties were pretty clever. They concentrated on Trade, where the money is. eg Silk Road.
