I had an uncle in Darwin in the services during the bombings too! I wonder if we are all related?

We have our requested hard rubbish collection Thursday. Not supposed to put items out before Wednesday. We have a couple of things that people will take so started putting them out last night. My test item already gone. This is good as I have more of the hard stuff than allowed. I love watching people collect their treasures.

So I searched my uncle who joined in SA and it’s just a number, no prefix. Ok. An A. My cousin who was conscripted has an SX number.

Small amounts should be transferred into a larger fund
Agree but this is a little pet project of mine. ~$6000 went in to this fund and current balance is ~$4500 but at one point was under $3000.

I'm prepared to wear the admin costs until break even point.

Classic Murphy’s law in operation. Have had some blank small art canvas prints for years and never did anything to them. So put them out in hard rubbish collection this morning. Of course while washing my hair I had a brainwave. Quickly dressed and raced out to my pile. Already gone. Now I have to go and buy another one. They are in another bag so a bit hidden. We live in a very quiet street and it’s only me that’s having a collection so how quickly people snaffle stuff is amazing. I’d say 1/3 stuff gone already. Recycling at its best and good any $$ aren’t going to council.

When we have office upgrades, chairs, printers promo stands ect, I put them out my front yard and they are gone within hours.

In my email just now.... bullying by farting? What is going on in the WHS world.

Sadly I will never know what Qantas apologized for because my subscription is no longer valid.

I walked away from AMP many years ago as a super customer and went to an industry super fund
i put all 3 kids into an industry fund when they started receiving super. So a teacher, a doctor and a software engineer contributing to Hostplus - which started out for hospitality workers :)

AustralianSuper for me . Very happy. As they say "profits go back to members"
Apparently its a large share holder in Healthscope and in kahoots to take it over back into private equity

ASuper also a share holder in PER airport

I got out of AMP the same afternoon when the financial adviser told me to get out of international shares (in the super and go australian shares) when Aussie dollar started tanking - this was years ago. I realised then that financial advisers could not be that smart with money because if they were smart why were they working for commissions. (Look Im sure there are exceptions).

Then I had another encounter with the bank's financial advisers with whom I had a mortgage. At the peak before the GFC he told me to go highly geared with margin loans ultimately secured against principal residence. I changed banks. The GFC hit 6 months later.

This morning got a delivery of dog food. "Special stuff" according to Mrs QS

But the most interesting thing is that the delivery was at 0300am (Mrs QS was told it would be between 0100 and 0700. Apparently more and more deliveries are occuring at this time. I can see the benefits especially cooler operating conditions for couriers, and MUCH less traffic.

3am? Coles can make deliveries as early as 6am, which is good for before work for most

I had a Coles delivery made today to home, the joys of hubby being a stay at home these days - its worth the $6 to $10 delivery fee to save me the hardship of having to shop.

Seems that Telstra's 4G network isn't currently fully functional and they are telly people to revert to 3G.

I wonder how many people would know how to do that?

I fought to mention that I got it from the TV news.

We use Optus as we get a minimum of 100 Mbps and more often 150+
