Tomatoes are low purine. Misconception that it causes gout

Of your recent photos/comments it would be the:
High purine foods
-Malbec
-Fish
Moderate purine
-Prawn

Other High purine
bacon,
turkey,
veal,
red organ meats,
anchovies,
sardines,
cod,
herring,
trout,
mussels and scallops,
alcoholic bev

Moderate purine
Crab
Lobster
Oyster
Prawns
Beef
Chicken
Duck
Ham

Interestingly high purines such as asparagus and spinach don’t cause gout

The Nearly perfect day is still worth the gout?

Vitamin C, coffee and cherries reduce chance of gout
Champagne definitely causes me knee pain, which I assume is gout. Don’t drink very much, but I do hit the bubbly when travelling. I pay for it by the time I get home, but my knees recover after I dry out and it’s absolutely worth it :).

Didn't bring anything on myself.

I made a comment about my observations. They are my observations. They can't be wrong. Why do people feel they have a need to correct other people observations?

Women nag. If you're one of the rare women who don't nag then fantastic. In my eyes women nag non stop. It's a life long observation of many relationships.

@Quickstatus understands.

Surely you don't believe that!

Respect. Everyone. Until the opposite is demonstrated. That is all.

Of course if I made sweeping, derogatory comments about an entire class of people, and likely 50% of AFF members, .....

I'm sure we can all discuss this at the HKG lounge crawl next month.

Aren’t relationships about caring for each other and wanting to do things for each other? If Mr FM forgets to do things I will remind him, which he appreciates as he is away with the fairies half the time and doesn’t have anything much in hs head these days apart from his models and photographs!

I enjoy making him all the treats he likes - fruit buns, scrolls, muffins, none of which I eat.

Two way street really....
You are right. Of course they are a two way street.

- I do all the shopping
- I can cook and do cook every now and then to give wife a break
- I bring cooked food home for wife and daughter to give a wife a break
- Garbage is easy as we take out the garbage once or twice a day when the small plastic bag next to sink is full
- I take out the recycling
- I don't leave clothes on floor
- wife won't let me do the washing or ironing
- wife keeps the apartment tidy
- wife takes care of daughter
- I wish I was a better father
- I snore a lot
- I go to work
- I forget lots of things and she reminds me every morning on the way to work

My comments were not a complaint. My wife has the most difficult job of the two. That I have no doubt. I'm not perfect.

Been driving me crazy since yesterday. Someone said Maria Callas has the best version of Ave Maria but the link they sent me was not Maria Callas (dad in law was a big Callas fan). It was Barbara Bonney and apparently most of the internet doesnt know the difference either.

Im a bit of a Mouskouri version fan myself.

I suspect I get gout. I've never tested nor do I care. My big toes can get so sore on some days but I just persevere and try to ignore pain.

There are days when I cannot stand on my 2 feet but I'm still out playing golf. I'm not sure if this gout or something else.

I have enough to worry about in life without worrying about what I can and can't eat and what is good or bad for each condition I have. I may end up not being able to eat anything.

Diagnosis and prevention by once a day pill is simple.
Lifestyle and diet modification is a little more difficult

At least do the simple bit

BTW cost of gout prevention pill is around 12cents a day (PBS)
These posts should probably be in Medical Issues thread but what pill is that for gout? Any side effects?

But where you went wrong was to label wives/women as ‘naggers’. Respect is all that is required from both sides. Anyway, bored now. :p

Oh, please.

As if we wake up in the morning thinking, Woohoo - today I get to tell him to do the same freaking thing THREE TIMES to get it done, while I still hold down a full time job, do laundry, prepare dinner, clean up ect. Yeah - lets add another task to our lives, which is to get grown coughd adults to adult for themselves.

But I could be projecting :)

I had a short break between contracts and if the above had happened, I wouldn't be posting today! Needless to say I was on top of washing the clothes, cooking meals and sharing the cleaning
