Goodness ... the Convertible seats are fine for a 50 minute flight - although not as nice as the Millenium.

Give me a 734 Convertible seat any day before the horrible new back gouging versions they're installing on the 73H's and 332's.

Maybe they took the 738 off the Tassie flight to send it to Perth instead of the 734?

Good for PER people, but if thats the case, HBA once again has been screwed over by QF, a midday Crash8 or even jet (But thats pushing it) service would ease some of the pain;)

Stop worrying over what aircraft you will get in 10 months time, its going to change from time to time, until you hop on it you dont know whether you have been screwed or not, unless they move to Qantaslink operations with a 717

Wouldn't kill them, all HBA-MEL-HBA flights used to be B717 ops until they cut back to 2 daily MEL returns

At least the B717 flights were every few hours so at least the QF travellers had some choice

HBA is HBA - get over it.

For short shorthaul ops its not surprising that they've decided to use the 734s. Just look at ADL-MEL (the difference of course is that there is more traffic on ADL-MEL than there is on HBA-MEL).

I'm hoping that QF will get rid of the 734s soon too - yes I am fully aware that rows 4, 5 and 6 have extra leg room on the 734s which is not present on the 738s...

Besides, you're not the first person to be p*ssed by an aircraft change...

Just asked at the Sydney QP. Upgraded to J for 10 000 points on my flight to Darwin this evening. As soon as it was processed the man told me where to go - the business lounge.

Can anyone recommend a good book?

I only read ebooks now, but shouldn’t there be a large selection of magazines in there?

There's plenty to read here but I'm off to a 3rd World country where English language bookshops aren't common. I saw a new Stephen King book that looked good although it will blow out the 5kg carry on I'm allowed on my charter flight. Although I have been told if the plane is full the only thing you can carry on is your laptop

Darwin has a book shop :lol::lol:

WHat do people do with themselves when you cannot use an e book during climb, descent or holding?

What do people do with themselves when you cannot use an e book during climb, descent or holding?

As one lady did on a flight I was also on some time ago, attempt to operate said electronic device to read e-book until suitably reprimanded by either the crew (didn't happen) or another pax who actually cares about the rules (did happen).
