That's a great trip drron, I fly out on 19th Aug to LAX, SFO, PHX for a few Diamond Backs games, meander on to Rapid City S.D., then wander back through N.M. to Tucson A.Z. for some great Mexican food and to check out Pima Air Museum, and the 'Bone Yard' / Davis Monthan AFB again. Love watching those A10 Wharthogs doing touch and goes.

Cheers Dee

Any update on this one? Did you find the original owner of the Princess' shiny new toy?

No, ring still at our house, telephoned bridal party's parents. No takers there or at school. Ad going in local rag Monday. Princess already having a trial separation from hubby ;)

Sitting in the ROK Qantas Lounge waiting for my 19:10 flight back to BNE.

Have people gone mad? If not, then there is something wrong with me.

A couple with their teenage daughter have just left to board the earlier flight to BNE. The daughter looks to be 13-16 years of age and is wearing a tight top and extremely tight jean shorts that are almost up her @rs#.

Sitting down with her legs crossed and went to the fridge a number of times bending over to grab one of the soft drinks on the lower shelves.

I am a relatively conservative person but sometimes it is hard to avoid looking (not staring) where one should not be looking. Why are kids allowed to wear these types of clothes? Is it a trend thing these days? I have seen younger kids wear more provocative clothes in public. It is sheer stupidity and asking for trouble....

Well I am back after a week in Delhi checking out things for the Commonwealth Games.

I was actually surprised at how far beind things still are. And the amount of work going on around the city that really didn't need to be done (things like the underpasses for peds at Connaught Place - They really didn't need anything done to them!).

And the amount of money wasted is astounding! Most of the venues still look like bomb sites! and the quality of the work is very debatable too. Already issues with many of the buildings. leaking roofs falling in, electrics not certified!

It's just the way it is now JohnK, and I agree it's pretty unfortunate that it's this way.

But of course, not everyone dresses like that...

Bloody hopeless result in the western derby today :(

'Effect' and 'affect' are easily confused and misused (even I'll admit to that). For the real pedants, so are 'program' and 'programme'.

But 'lose' and 'loose' is so simple, unless English isn't your first language or you make a genuine typo, you have to be a complete idiot to get it wrong.

I'm currently at the Atlantis Resort in The Bahamas, and all I can say is this place is amaaaaaaaaaaaaaazing! I've never seen a place like this - and IMO should be on your "must-visit resort" list in your travels ;)

How many duty hours?

I boarded QF178 at 12:30. We missed our takeoff slot because of inbound landing NE and we take off SE. After some waiting a decision was made to go with traffic, NE, at the expense of checked luggage.

We taxi out but the captain finds a mechanical issue so we PARK at the end of the runway, eventually back to gate. Some pax ask to leave, problem is still being fixed and it's now 16:49. Will we takeoff? They're shutting the doors again!

Surely we've hit duty hours.

Guess we'll know shortly if you've reached duty hours....

His flight landed in MEL 30 minutes ago.

Apparently one FA was over but consented to continuing instead of overnighting.

I was rebooked on QF636 for my return home. 22C but asked in QP for better and got 5E :D

Stuffed my face in the lounge as I've now missed inboard dinner.

I toured 'The Palm' Atlantis in Dubai the day after it officially opened. Same colour, same water-slide, much the same external design, right at the tip of the Palm tree.
Does the one in the Bahamas have an internal aquarium of rather large proportions ?
Dubai does, and features two whale sharks amongst the exhibits.

Cheers Dee

QF Silver pack arrived in the post box today. :D

Tax return arrived in the bank account today. :D

Tax return now forwarded on to visa. :(

Not happy with QF today, it appears the first leg of my status run (However far away it is) (HBA-MEL QF1010, 6th Jun 11) has changed to a 734, can't exactly say i'm happy about this as I'm booked in J and the 734's are not equipped with the nice J seats just the coughpy convertible ones:evil:

At least it's only a short flight!

At least it's only a short flight!

The plane will be chockers as well as there is about 30 less seats then the -800 series. Why change something that works:rolleyes:

They might as well give me my points back and I will rebook into Y, then book J on something more worthwhile like MEL-SYD or SYD-BNE on a 763
