I appear to be geographically challenged at the moment......

I am in Sydney where I am meant to attend a course Wed/Thurs however I have just learnt the course is running Thur/Fri in Darwin! My bosses were told Sydney so arranged for me to be here.

I have a work credit card that can book me that flight to Darwin however I need permission from my bosses and my bosses also need permission from higher up to get me a spot on the course.

If I don't get to Darwin I don't get the work trip overseas next month. I need a stiff drink......

oops:shock:

Oy gevalt.

I am getting sick to death of people confusing simple words.

'Lose' and 'loose' come to mind. So does 'deserts' and 'desserts'.

Honestly, is it that difficult to use them correctly?
It gets worse as more and more people use acronyms and abbreviations for most words.

Can someone please tell me how do I add a signature? Thanks....despite trying yesterday, I couldn't figure it out:oops:

You can only add one if you have a silver or gold subscription I believe. If so, you should be able to through your user control panel.

Where is it?

Happy Shrek household tonight. Quiet flying year for Shrek ( probably because SO always away). Received dreaded " can you outline your travel plans" email. Flicked it to me, 24hrs later comped WP. Fortunately he has super busy year coming up so hopefully no nasty surprises next year ;)

Well, at least you didn't turn up for the course at said place, date and time to be told that the course "started" in darwin.

You have less than a day to get approval before which you need to have booked and ticketed the flight to Darwin. Of course, the longer it goes, the more expensive probably the fare or the inability to get the last flight, which would sink your chances.

Looking at the flight schedules, you have only 1 direct flight ex-SYD (10.45am tomorrow) at $389 (SuperSaver). Later alternative flights depart at 1.25pm via CNS (where you have 2 choices for connecting flight to DRW) - fares are $573 and $603.

Nothing out of MEL (all via SYD), so better hope the bosses come through for you.

Good news. Currently at the Sydney QP. I was told at 1130 to be on the 1325 flight to Cairns. From there I fly to Darwin.

I just want to thank the NSW Police who saw me standing in the rain with taxi's driving past. They stopped and got me to the airport on time.

Hope you got on QF1874 ex CNS, the earlier flight stops at Gove and gets into DRW after QF1874 but you get two dinners!

Dont expect much at the QP in CNS, they setup for the breakfast rush at 5PM!

Edit - on both QLink flights the first 13 rows have an extra 1" seat pitch, beyond Row 15 you lose an inch!

Wasn't there someone on the forum griping about JQ saying that there was no QP in CNS?

Unless they meant the international terminal, but I'd think for CNS-DRW-SIN, the CNS-DRW leg operates as a regular domestic flight.

Sorry - a random pick up from the post.

Argh! It's there again!

The JQ flight leaves before Karens flight leaves SYD, leaving two Qantaslink flights departing the DOM terminal as the only choices, which of course has a QP with mediocre food offerings, as you can guess I am on one of those two flights every month.

Woops

I have flown the other direction with a stop in Gove the flight from Darwin at 7:00am has breakfast but from Gove to Cairns it was a biscuit or something similar only.

Are the dinners the same.

I have done both directions although the breakfast was two years ago, got hot breakfast both legs, the last time it was via Gove was 7 weeks ago and it was two hot and different dinners, I figured it was compensation for the tour of Gove airport.
