This morning my father passed away.Not a tragedy as he was 90 and his last year was very hard for him.
However he is someone whose work has probably been noticeable to many on this board.He worked for the Commonwealth Dept of Works.He was in charge of the building of the International terminal and runway extension at Kingsford Smith as well as consulting on Tullamarine.The Sydney project was brought in under budget and ahead of time-not bad for a Government project.
He supervised the building and redevelopement of many army and air force bases.
Also was the architect for the redevelopment of Concord hospital in Sydney.
And during WW2 was responsible for the development of many Flaming Furies and Deep Pits in the NT.

My condolences to you and family drron, he certainly sounds like he led a great life and achieved a lot. I'm sure he will be missed.

When I asked earlier why are people selfish and considerate earlier I should have also added rude and disgusting.

I was sitting in the BNE QF business lounge a few minutes ago having a snack and a drink when this guy come down to sit at the long table waiting for some more food to be put out as the last lot was taken away. When the food arrived he walked over to the butter chicken and rice and lifted the flirst plate in the stack with his grubby hands and then took the second plate leaving the first plate back in the stack.

How gross! Creep and @coughh... were the only words that come mind.

Totally disgusting, selfish, inconsiderate and rude. I don't know about being held accountable for their actions but I cannot believe these type of people exist.

Anyway I have said enough on how I felt and I have nothing further to add. Hopefully he is just part of a small minority.
