Ozbeachbabe, markis10 & I are sitting in the HI Esplanade (Darwin) having dinner at Sirocco using PP. Biggest dilemma is 'who will get the points?'

And where is the location update.

I thought you were all meant to be hard at work planning Ozfest 8:shock:...or are you trying out all the restaurants for us first?;)

Trying out the different foods and drinks is a tough job but someone has got to do it.

Not as tough a job as trying to work out how many people we can fit in the spa on my balcony :D:D:D, could not get any volunteers from the resident QF crew!

:D
Yes it would be just after 3am Flash time.better think about going back to bed!:p

I have been to bed! :) :(

Have a few things to do before retiring again. Been a busy couple of days. That ought to teach me to go on holidays..!

Speaking of sleep, I'm currently waiting on a red-eye, US66 LAS-BOS followed by BOS-BUF in the morning. LAS-BOS is ~5 hrs. Transit time in BOS just under 90 minutes.

There is only one *A lounge, which is the CO lounge in the D Concourse of LAS T1. My flight leaves from the B Concourse. Unfortunately, I cleared A/B concourse security before realising that I had to go to D concourse. So since I'm too lazy to backtrack and clear security twice more, I'm now not in a lounge.

Instead, each of the A and B concourses has a charging station (read: metal benches with power points) and LAS has free wifi. So I've set up a little workstation for myself just outside gate B6.

Another (not-so-)interesting thing:
  • I lived in the date of 26 October for about 32 hours, perhaps a bit more. That includes 0000h to 1740h in SE Asia / Japan, and 1000h to 2359h in US Pacific Time. There's also time spent in the air between Japan and the USA, but that is very difficult to calculate.

I'm in the Brisbane QP relaxing with a juice and the internet. My boss wants me to fax him a receipt but I am comfortable in my corner.

I am sitting in the QP at CNS enjoying the net (and its not 802.11B like BNE), and catching some interesting sights out the window:

1. OGG has arrived and really needs a paint job, the tail is faded like she has been sitting in the desert for some time, maybe she might be the first to head there of the 300s soon.
2. I just watched a Cessna 208 take off, it did a wheely down the runway for at least half the length of the runway before finally getting airborne, maybe the pilot rides a bike?
3. CNS has plain and fruit scones on offer.

Don't hold back on the jam and cream

Yum, I want scones now :D

Maybe that is the reason I am getting bigger. I will just blame my new Qantas Platinum status.

You look much the same. In fact, you sound like one of those people who eat anything and still don't gain weight.

On the note of cream, seems to be the "norm" here (in the States) to use that (or "creamer") instead of milk in coffee. For example, in the US Airways Club in BOS TB, I was able to select from three flavours of creamer - French Vanilla, Hazelnut and Amarillo Cream - for my coffee. I'm sure there was some milk somewhere else, but in the morning I couldn't give a damn, I just wanted coffee.

I should also note that espresso coffee is a bit of a rarity here, too. (I mean, real strong espresso coffee.)
