Well that was a much of nothing. A bit of a sweep of rain, wetting the surface, but that was it.

Does anyone know where to get hold of those Macca's shirts some employees wear at the drive thru "My Boss is a Clown". I've looked on ebay but nothing there so far.

SO's boss wants to change his roster from 7 days on/7 off to 5 days on/2 off & thinks nobody will work out how many extra hours they're expected to work for no extra pay.

Was on the lookout for 4 shirts for SO plus 3 colleagues to wear next time their GM of Engineering is in town to drop another pineapple on them.

I’ve seen two versions while searching for it, but none for sale, but think you could probably make them yourself (plenty of companies that will allow you to do your own design I think).

Just booked hotel for Tokyo. Right next to Akihabara Station, ¥36000/AUD$410 for 9 nights. That is ¥4000 a night.

Can I get an amen?

I won't drink the water or eat the spinach. Kirin, One-Cup Ozeki and yakitori FTW?!?!

At least Kirin is still brewed in Japan (for the Japanese market). I'm sick of drinking Japanese beers that are now manufactured overseas (IIRC - Canada !!!!! for Sapporo, and Thailand for Kirin. Even Asahi is brewed in Australia now. )

Awesome!

Sapporo is odd, most of it’s brewed in Canada, but I’ve seen some from the UK too, just none from Japan!

I'm also thinking about all the delicious beers that aren't on export. Suntory Malts, Yebisu Kuronama, Sapporo Classic to name a few...

Yep. One of my pleasures when I visit Japan. The local beers taste so much better there!

Oh, whereishome, which hotel and where did you book? I am heading there in Sept/Oct and that sounds really good!

Saw an advert on TV, thought it may be applicable here:

Heston’s Mission Impossible on Thursday, channel 7, 7:30. All about bringing some good food to the skies, and from the advert, BA!
