Am in my tenth winter here in CBR and I think it is the coldest. Like you each day I dream about returning home (to MEL).

Hopefully you wont get to 10 years up there.
I hope not either. I will see if I can stretch it another year, possibly 2, but that will be just about pushing it.

I am going to ask work for some extra unpaid leave so I can spend some more time in Sydney. The weekends are clearly not enough and the commuting is taking it's toll.

Just speaking to mrs.dr.ron who is in the T2 QP.The wind creating havoc again in SYD-the JQ flight from Lonnie has been circling for over an hour.

well, I've made 12 years in Adelaide and I want back to brisbane. Shame SWMBO won't allow it. :( Well she must be obeyed...
That dear medhead, is the reason why I'm still without SWMBO. Seriously, being stuck in ADL is on par with a life sentence. Not even murders get it that bad ;)

In other news, I might be moving eastward for a few months at least. Received tentative word yesterday that I'm being offered a min. 3mth role in Sydney CBD. Just waiting for the final documents and confirmation so I can make the move.

Will be glad to be both, a) out of Perth, and b) somewhere I can finally put down some serious weekend flying for fun and re-qual.

Today marks 3 full years in Brisbane and my current job. Not sure whether that is a good thing or not but I am hoping that with each passing day I get closer to going home.

Has it really been that long????? Wow.

Congrats on the role in Sydney.

SWMBO does try to keep me under control. Imagine how bad I'd be without her.

Next time you are struggling to find a magazine of interest in the J lounge in BNE, blame the mid aged lady from 10 minutes ago that selected 12 different titles and deposited them into her bag . And I feel guilty when I grab the paper for the last flight ex CNS!

Not sure how to pack? Constantly turning up to your flight to london only to go ahhh my passport? Arriving in Singapore only to realise your laptop is on your desk at home?

Well worry no more! The folks at tiger have put together a nifty guide to packing:

Tiger Airways

Had a near bogan experience yesterday-in the Post Office and this couple in their beanies in front-probably late 30s.There was a box of AFL/NRL thingies on sale-$10 or if you bought 2 an extra 20% off.The woman picks up this pair of large Maroon coloured dice-Oh aren't these lovely.i really love them.Proceeds to ask her partner if she can have them. She is persistent and when he starts to falter she turns to me and says "how much is this?"$10 but if you buy 2 it will be $16.so she proceeds to pick out a bear in Cowboy colours.
Should I ask Australia post for commission?

Shame it doesn't include "ticket with a CASA-approved airline" in that list

The Space shuttle Atlantis has lifted off, not sure if I really needed to get out of bed for it, history in the making the final launch.

Dont know how many of you tune in to music but the current iTunes festival is pretty awesome, 60 odd artists in 30 days, just caught Linkin Park doing a cover of Adele's Rolling in the Deep as part of their 90 minute show, awesome and very unexpected given their style, and very well done! And its free (apart for the data charges for streaming).

iTunes Festival 2011

Applied for 8 different shows, got 0/8 :(

I can only imagine what it would be like to be there, the streams are showcasing some very special concerts with some good artists to come including some of my favorites like the script and foo fighters!
