I arrived into LGW this morning (flew MA from BUD) and was having a flick through their magazine. I noticed that MH is set to join Oneworld next year..... I guess not being active on here, I missed it! Good news though, I think

Ooh, using MA BUD-LGW in a few weeks - any good?? They are now using optiontown so was trying to work out whether its worth the 50 euro upgrade... Does anyone know what SCs one would get on a paid OptionTown upgrade?

Seats 3A/C and 4A/C are the best in economy. It's basically the business seating (which is 2x3) so you get a little more leg room and width. Food was basic but the flight in general was good and felt nice and safe :)

I had 3A going over and back.

Just be careful flying into BUD on MA.I suspect a luggage scam.1 0f our 3 bags from moscow did not appear. The luggage agents didn't want to take details until we insisted. When asked about compensation if the bag didn't arrive were told none as it will be on the next flight.Insisted and given an international j amenities bag each.
The bag arrived at our hotel about 2 hours after us.I had already checked on line and there was no other flight into BUD from any Moscow airport on any airline. We were able to show them a photo of our bag,TSA locks on but more importantly nothing of value in it.

Looks like 1 repair agent in London: Repair agents

The handle looks like it clean snapped off at the base.. luckily it happened when I was about 50m from home!

Interesting! I did carry-on only flying into BUD. Checked my bag in coming home though as I had too many liquids to contend with.

Clearly you need one...best of luck with it, hope everything goes exactly to plan (or better)!

Good luck drron. Please promise us that you won't wear "those" shorts again when you get your new knee. :p

The best laid schemes of mice and men
Go often askew,
And leave us nothing but grief and pain,
Unfortunately unbeknowns to me a pimple had grown behind my knee.so the old joint has to solsier on for a while yet.
More problem than an Ash cloud!

Good luck drron - hope all goes well and we'll see you mobile as ever again.

Or as a pirate. Or a man with a wooden leg named Smith.

Seriously, best wishes, mate.

Repeating the sentiments of everyone else here drron, best wishes on the op - and here's hoping you don't get an extra head grafted on as a bonus ;)

In other news, fear for the east coast as from tomorrow night my backside will be planted in Sydney for three months. I'll be on contract at RailCorp (the team who bring you the illustrious CityFail) working to rein in their online properties (AKA websites).

It'll be a thankless, but well paid thankless task which will at least fund me retaining QPPS and maybe allow for some fun including the LAN J AKL & NAN runs if time permits. Who knows, Gold might be an achievable target for the first time ever (something I would never have dreamed of just two years ago).

Look forward to catching up with as many of you whilst on that side of the nullabor, and hopefully joining some WPs on a JQ F Lounge run.

thewinchester. As a Perthite who moved to the big smoke many years ago good luck. Enjoy your move and your new role. Cityrail can use all the help it can get.

Good luck with the new job, and I hope it gets extended.

Good luck also to Drron with the surgery.

Not sure if anyone reads the blog from lucky9876coins. Hey, that’s a pretty cool picture! - One Mile at a Time

Since I knew where it was, I added the comment.

"Nice picture of Tullamarine airport, maybe my friends are right and I do fly too much.":lol::oops:

I thought you were going to say you won one of those "guess the photo" post-competitions. :)

Having seen the photo, of course you wouldn't have to tell me at all where it was, even if it isn't my home airport.

The picture would be perfect if that Singapore Airlines bird was replaced with a Qantas one (not taking sides here, just the context of the photo). But, you can't have everything...

Another blog update, from Onemileatamile(lucky9876coins) from FT.

Four Continents and 37,000 Miles in Two Weeks: Qantas First Class Lounge Melbourne - One Mile at a Time

Another person who likes the Melbourne First Class Lounge. my favourite is Sydney but that is because it is closer and if I get really desperate for a First lounge fix I can usually do it in a day trip, without leaving Australia.

Interesting, I was having a discussion with trippin_the_rift about his upcoming travels and he mentioned that he was flying to Singapore on Tuesday 24 May, also another Facebook Iphone(app) where you can check in also tells all your friends where you are, and I was reading twitter when Onemileatamile was in the lounge, Ben doesn't usually post his travels but posts while on the run so I had no idea he was in Australia until he turned up, so I sent a text to trippin_the_rift, go and check see if you can find lucky. When someone has a flyertalk tag on their bags they aren't too hard to find but I guess you got to be aware someone could be there.

I have found the yellow Flyertalk tags to be pretty handy when trying to find other FTers.

That also reminds me I lost my last AFF tag between leaving the hotel in London and checking in for the flight home at T3 the AFF tag vanished. It is most likely on one of those red double decker buses traveling around London.
